Great stitching- worse “color”
The leather is awesome very well-made 100% craftsmanship. The color is like mustard or light curry. I hate the color. The pen is just garbage: the stitching on it it’s cute, yet in all that doesn’t match the cheap Gold design. The size is confusing. It does match perfectly well a journal / notebook size 9.5 x 7.5”. The leather is soft and sturdy. The pen pocket outside hold a pen firmly. The sleek design is not rustic nor is it business like. It’s more like informal wanna be good.

Would Recommend
I purchased this cover for composition notebooks. My gield requires me to keep good notes (and I prefer written notes, as I'm old-fashioned). This leather cover is just the ticket! Well made, and slots to store my business cards and pen.I see a few comments expressing concern for what kind of paper to put in this cover. I recommend a standard black and white composition notebook. They are very affordable, and fit perfectly in this cover.

Quality refillable journal.
Purchased for seminar notes. Already on third insert. Nice and lightweight while quality of leather is just what i wanted. It is easy to change out and has held up nicely. Ended up purchasing a second one for a gift.

Good quality And build. Nice soft leather.
I use these for moleskine journals and sketchbooks of similar size. It is slim and has a nice feel. It does add a bit of weight due to the leather. I had a leather worker add an additional strap closer to the spine which really opens up the types of journals that can be used as you only need to insert one side.

Durable - User Friendly
Need it as my business journal, constantly memorializing conversations, phone calls, meetings and thoughts into something larger than a tiny journal but small enough to fit the binder slot in my back pack. Preferred over using the notes page in my iPad. Paper fillers available through Amazon; when full replace with new.

Journal cover that fits like a dream.
Purchased to work with some Moleskin journals and it is a perfect fit. The leather is flexible enough to be comfortable to carry and rest in your lap. Like the color. Pen pouch is nice too.

I like it but not sure how durable it is
I do like this. I consider it to be classy. I also very much like the fact that Walmart sells those "marble cover" notebooks which fit well in this, with 100 pages, for $0.50 each. This makes this very practical for me. Not that I am self-conscious, but this notebook does make me feel good when I use it in public, ha.However, I will mention:1.) I'm not convinced that it will hold up well over time. In the first week or two it's already got some scuff marks on the leather, even though I "baby" it.2.) When I put in a new notebook, the first and last ten or so pages don't sit well because of the uneven surface created by the inside cover sleeve. It makes it difficult to write. I don't think this is a fault with the notebook cover, just an observation.3.) Forget that pen that comes with it. Even my own pen, which is thinner, does not fit easily into the pen "sleeve". It's tight so as to prevent pens from falling out, but not usable for me. I wish they had put the pen holder on the inside front cover, near the edge. That would have been better for several reasons.
