A good tool. I use it as a box opener for breaking down boxes for recycling since it fits on my key chain and I almost always have it on or near my person.

I like all my little doohickeys. Nothing too exciting, but it's a fine addition to my collection.

The Nite Ize DoohicKey ClipKey is an improvement to other key-like, keychain tools. It's a big improvement from Nite Ize's own DoohicKey QuicKey Tool. For my needs, it's a better tool than the Gerber Shard, Nite Ize DoohicKey Multi-Tool, or Leatherman Brewzer. To me, the design is more useful. The size is large enough to make it more of a tool, but still small enough to attach to a set of keys. It looks good. And those simple, smooth good looks provide good ergonomics.SIZE AND WEIGHT: The ClipKey is 2-11/16 inches long, just under 1 inch wide, and 3/32 inch thick. So it's larger than a house key but smaller than a car key. The thickness makes it a usable pry tool. It weighs 0.40 ounces or 12 grams, according to my postal scale.BOTTLE OPENER: The smooth, curved grip provides good leverage and good ergonomics. You hold it from the keychain/carabiner end of the tool, which is what you want.The opening of the tool is long enough to reach far enough across the cap to do a good job - more than half way.SERRATED EDGE: The serrated edge is sharp. Set in the curve, it's somewhat shielded. But you may want to think twice about putting it in a tight pocket, where it may cut or scrape the fabric. The edge is reasonably effective - experiment a little with the angle you hold it and the speed you move. The scoring point (on the corner of the driver) works about as well as a box opener much of the time.DRIVER: The driver edge is a hair over 1/8 inch wide. The edge is well ground and tapered.CARABINER: The inside edge along the top of the carbiner is just over 1/2 inch. So wider than a belt loop and some straps, if you're thinking of hanging the tool. At it's widest part, the inside of the carabiner is a little over 5/8 inch. As you can see in the photo, the gate for the carabiner uses a simple but effective design that give it good tension and seems like it will be durable.FINISH: Overall it's nicely finished. The corner of the scoring point has a small burr that I may file off.

I keep one of these in my car and one in my home office. I use it primarily for opening boxes and cutting string and twine. It can open beverages with bottle caps and one end can be used as a regular screwdriver.

This was confiscated by the TSA due to the serrated blade. My airport is a TSA training site so they tend to be stricter than other airports, but just be warned that including this in your bag may delay you going through security and eventually be taken away unless you want to pack it in your checked luggage.

Does the job as intended, only drawback is the clip gets stuck in my belt loop when taking it off.

Best bang for your buck, sturdy and great for the everyday: Key chain, bottle opener, screw drivers and cutting edge. I started using it as soon as I took it out of the package ! Highly recommended

I already had one but wanted a second for another key ring. Surprising how handy one can be.
