Q: are you able to close the bootle?

The spout is always open but the bend in the glass and the clever way it pours keeps the oil clean and fresh. I had one for five years and the day I dropped it on the unforgiving tiled floor I bought another one. Pricey but worth it

Q: I received my order today and it had a white frost looking thing on the neck of the glass but how comes in some customer pictures it doesn’t have this

The "white frost" is where the glass surface has been roughened which is necessary for the spout to stay in place. When you start using it the oil seems to make the "frosting" more translucent.
