Bisto Best Beef Gravy Granules 150g (Pack Of 3)

Arrived fast, perfectly packaged, and long expiration date. Couldn't be happier with this product, it makes wonderful gravy!

As is, the flavor of this gravy is really good. It is a robust gravy with meat flavor that I really liked. But you can configure it with other additives like herbs and spices (mushroom and peppercorns with some thyme are great). It already has enough salt in my opinion and a "home gravy" flavor. But with the addition of some thyme and some More than Gourmet demi glace (which is unsalted) you can amp up the flavor without amping up the salt. I've never seen a gravy mix that combines with hot water without leaving ANY lumps. But this did just that. Just make sure the water is boiling when you whisk in the granules. And you can control the thickness by adding water/stock for thinner or more granules for thicker. The icing on the cake is how fast this is ready. You can have a gravy ready in the last 4 minutes (my microwave can boil water in 2 minutes 15 seconds) of your meal cook right before serving and be able to bring the gravy to the table with the entrée. That's why I gave this 5 stars.Also this is one of the Bisto "Best" products. All the "Best" labelled Bisto gravies are just that. The Best. Sold in glass jars with a foil seal, they include dried real meat juices in them and hence, taste better than the granules in the carboard tubes. Added to the gravies of savory pies, these Bisto best gravy granules greatly improve the sauce in them.

Previously I purchased this in the UK on trips, but with the lockdowns I was unable to replenish my supply and the urges for a good beefy gravy grew stronger. This is the real thing and it only took 2 weeks to arrive. This is not regular Bisto - this is Bisto Best - like chalk and cheese there is no comparison.

This is an essential for us. No messing around with flour or flavourings. It's worth every penny.NOTE it is a 150g jar, not a 200g jar so it may seem a little small compared- so I would suggest buying 2. Also it arrived a month early so and in time for Christmas so well done and thank you.

All three jars arrived damaged. They were shipped in an envelope that did not provide any protection. Glass jars with plastic life’s need to be shipped in a box to provide protection.

How did I live without this product. A a true roast beef and gravy living Brit I truly appreciate this. I am an excellent cook and a gravy snob but I must say this instant gravy is as good as any I have made. I would suggest adding just a little cream or milk to it. It actually reheats very well too. This will be a staple now in my pantry.
