This was my best purchase of 2024!I don’t know how to explain but using this panini press on sandwiches makes it taste 10x better. So easy and quick to use and very tasty.The open grill is also so awesome. I’ve made pancakes and KBBQ and it’s such an awesome feature. Really easy to remove and clean the plates.Highly recommend if you wanna take your Sammies to the next level

We've used this grill enough now to really appreciate it for its practicality and ease of use. As I was cleaning up from dinner I thought I really should review it and recommend it. Moving from a house with an outdoor grill to an apartment we really needed something to fill the gap. It does and maybe more so. One big difference is that if you use both sides (sandwich) what's in between cooks much faster so cooking is even quicker. Very happy with this grill.

I love this grill. I have made paninis, pancakes, marinated chicken kabobs, eggs, grilled vegetables, grilled cheese, and all have turned out great. I like that it has presets for panini, burger and sear, but you can also control the exact temperature settings of each grill plate separately. I like that the grill plates are reversible (flat griddle/ridged grill), and that you can control the height of the top grill depending on what you are grilling. Clean up is so easy, the grill plates pop off with the click of a button. I hand wash them with dish soap and water, and the residue comes off easily. So far I have no complaints.

Great product, I bought two of them for a gift. I did notice that once they were opened out of the box they were a little bit smaller than I expected. Overall, this is a great sear and press grill. The top does get sizzling hot, so keep your plastic bags away. I accidentally touched my bread bag to the top, and now it's left a melted plastic stain. But that's my fault, not the product's. The product is great.

It works fine, but my main complaints are no timer. What? Even our previous El cheapo had a timer on it. And it's really really sticky. I've used very stiff plastic bristle brushes on it to very little effect. I end up scraping it with my thumbnail to get the worst of it off. Overall it's a nice unit, but a timer and true non stick surface would get a 5 star rating from me.

We use this for indoor burgers, paninis and waffles. It actually stays pretty neat with the little drip pan. And the waffle plates/inserts are a game changer concerning cleanup. The old waffle maker was a real pain to clean. These plates you remove and put them in the dishwasher. Easy peasy. Our family uses this applicable often so it doesn’t just sit on the shelf after a couple uses.

Double sided griddles offer great time savings and have eliminated most uses of frypan on stovetop, with the added treat of waffles. My intro to this type was Griddler whose non-stick plates became worn out due to using it almost every day for several years particularly for breakfasts. I decided to upgrade instead of just replacing the plates. This Breville is equivalent in versatility to Griddler but definitely an upgrade in three important ways -- separate temperature control top and bottom, even temperatures over the cooking area, and larger cooking area.The fresh nonstick works fine including often without oil. It does a great job opened with bacon, eggs in rings and covered by a dome, and pancakes. It does a great job closed with hash brown potatoes, sausages, frozen or fresh burgers, and crisp waffles (with extra cost waffle plates). It should do fine with paninis and latkes. Worthy successor to Griddler base model.
