Great product!
Fits easily and my horse doesn't even seem to notice it. I got this for trail riding. My rescue horse is blind in his right eye and I can't guarantee I will always see all the branches and twigs while we are riding. The material is a thick, soft plastic.. not hard, and it has ventilation holes and a furry trim so it doesn't scratch. Helps with bugs and gnats too. Definitely would buy again!

One of the best products on the market to protect horses eyes when they have injury
As an equine veterinarian and I have been using these for approximately 15 years, I love that they’re now available easily to clients. I just wish they would come a bit faster because when we need them… That horse needs them yesterday I’ve probably referred 100 clients to purchase these masks and not one has ever regretted the cost, most of them have bought multiple masks for their animals overtime because they do get scratched up and hard to see through if the horse is rubbing a lot. Easy to clean pop it in OxiClean and hot water give it a little scrub with a toothbrush around the edges and rinse dry. You’re good to go. I’d give it 100 stars if I could. Recently, I have started using them during Equine extrication events… What that means is I’m putting safety goggles on horses when I’m getting them out of ditches in canyons with search and rescue and fire service rescue operations. That’s what my photo represents. This guy was tied to a backboard and transported 100 feet up the side of a hill. One of the first things I did when I found him in the ravine was put this mask on his face. I’ve now started recommending that they are added to our regional equine extraction emergency equipment caches - like I said I’d give it 100 gold stars if I could DrT

IT! WORKS!
I tried everything to keep my mare from rubbing her eyes and creating corneal ulcers: fly masks, eye cup masks etc. FINALLY! This visor keeps her from rubbing 24/7! It can be worn during turnout, too! The only bad thing, is that it does tend to scratch easily and must be replaced every few months so that she can see through it, which is very costly. If they made this at $60 it would be the ULTIMATE eye protection!!! I LOVE it, and my mare does, too!

Recovery visor for Mini horse fits perfectly and has been an essential part of eye ulcer treatment
The fly mask that fits over the visor is an important accessory that comes with the recovery visor. It helps reduce the bright sunlight when turned out. Add the anti-grazing muzzle and Macho the mini was ready for turnout. He's also being treated for some sand accumulation in the intestine, thereby, the muzzle. They all work together amazingly. A halter fits over the visor and fly mask, but the muzzle needs to be added after the halter, if necessary. Amazingly, Macho didn't try to rub off the visor. The visor has nice fleece padding around the edges. Ventilation holes in the visor prevents fogging up. From my own experience, I highly recommend these visors.

A very sturdy and well-made product. I thoroughly recommend it.
Recovery Vizor, UV Tint (Clear) Medical/Preventative Horse Eye (Goggle) Protection MaskMy horse has been wearing this mask for a couple of months. He looks forward to me attaching it to his head. He knows that the mask protects his face from flies and dirt. The woven mask which comes with the clear mask protects the clear mask, repels flies, and shades the eyes from the sun.I remove the masks when I put medicine in his eye twice a day. It is easier to access his eye this way versus flipping it up as the instructions state. He wears the plastic mask 24 hours a day. I put the black woven mask over during the day and remove it at night.NOTE: I perform an additional step not mentioned by the manufacturer. My horse developed rubbing spots during the first week wearing the mask in areas of close contact: by his temple, and on the 2 lower areas where the 2 straps fasten to the bottom of the mask.I use non-stick square medical pads which I cut in half and fasten with medical tape to the inside of the clear mask and around the straps which connect to the lower portion of the mask. This provides a cushion so there is no abrasive rubbing from that black soft padding which becomes hard and abrasive with sweat and dirt.Horses LOVE to roll in the dirt. Their faces get dirty and so does the mask.I always wipe clean the inside and outside of the clear mask with clean water or Windex. The mask will become dirty, and the horse’s vision will be impaired if the mask is not wiped clean (twice a day).Overall, this is a very sturdy and well-made product which my horse looks forward to wearing. I thoroughly recommend it.

Very Good Fit
Purchased for a cob sized Paint Mare healing an eye wound. She regularly wears a fly mask and accepted this without any issues. I actually think she approved when I put it on her. She will wear this with the fly mask attachment, a she has an open wound and this mask has several openings for flies and debris to enter. I'll update as we experience how it wears, stays on and protects. So far 👍🏼!

Don’t buy
I was excited to buy this visor. My mare has been having lots of eye issues lately. And I thought this could really up our game. But sadly it hasn’t. It doesn’t seem very comfortable or secure. She got it off once and in the process of doing so the barn manager seems to think she injured her eye again while she tried to remove it. How ironic. More vet bills. On top of it, the company seems very strict about returns. Stating to hold it up to the light to check for scratches. If it’s not new they won’t give it back or issue a refund. And although mine is in like great condition I’m not even be able to return it. If I do they would’ve considered it not “new condition” and keep it and I wouldn’t see my money or have the product. Which stinks because I’m already spending a lot on vet bills!Disappointing.

Saved her eye!
This visor worked wonders! My horse looked so much happier when I put it on her verses the eye cover. The vet was happy to see that her ulcer was completely healed now. The visor protected her eye and allowed it to heal.
