Brilliant product sorting my (temporary?) mobility issue
I did a fair amount of research on this topic balancing my need, the cost and reviews, to find a bath-lift suitable for me. This price was much better than a high street catalogue store for a “comparable” product in my unqualified opinion.Since moving to a new house some 3 years back, I found the bath very difficult to get in and out of, due to degenerating knees, as well as osteoarthritis. It’s overly deep and very slippery. In view of that - it was showers for me.However, with my current knee issue, stepping up in to a shower cubicle is now increasingly difficult with nothing to hold onto and I no longer feel safe living alone. The Kanjo was delivered rapidly and I was immediately impressed with the simplicity and quality of the product. It’s simple to install, but it is heavy - so maybe get some assistance if you are less able? Lugging it from front door to upstairs was an effort, but I managed it. It is heavy lifting as a unit into the bath.I thought about where in the bath it should go and it’s worth having a “up and down” dry run first, as once it lowers there is a point where the back starts to recline. You need to make sure there’s nothing behind that’ll conflict with that movement, especially the power connector. The reclining only starts in the lowest position - you can then stop the recline at your preferred angle. Remember… when you press the button to go back up to get out, the back has to go back to vertical before seat rises! I could hear the motor working when sat in bath but I wasn’t being lifted. Once the back was upright I started to happily rise out.I was lucky and positioned it fine first time. I have a wall mounted radiator on the wall at the head of the bath so I was constrained by that. Please, please read the instructions beforehand as there’s some useful safety pointers in them. If used correctly all should be fine.I’ve seen reviews saying it’s “very slow” up and down but it’s actually at a leisurely pace that on first go, boosts confidence. It is a perfectly acceptable speed. From down to up (my bath is the maximum height range of 455mm deep) is just over 45 seconds. Hardly any time at all. Remember bath can be running that time if you are sure base is 100% secure.Other YouTube reviews says the seat is “hard” - I found it very comfy and non-slip to the right amount. It certainly wasn’t “cold” at all as suggested. For me cushions would be an unnecessary extra. It has a slight texture to it, but you can shuffle about to make yourself comfy. Also there was a comment that the level of the seat was “high” above the base of the bath when in the down position and you’d subsequently need more bath water.Whilst mildly true, with my model the seat from its lowest position was 3 inches /7.5cms/75mm off the base of the bath so no real issue at all. There has to be a space because of the design but it’s very minimal. My bath fill-rate is very slow sadly so it took a while to fill bath, but with trial and error you can find a happy level. I did top the bath up once in too whilst soaking. If water meter costs are in issue I’d suggest experimenting with “fill” and “bill?”It’s very easy to slide across to get in to the bath and the side panels work very well indeed. I’m 12 stone + and me manoeuvring about was no problem. I feel totally confident that it supports me properly. This is a “chair” not a bed - so you cannot immerse yourself totally in the bath by lying down. You can however slide your bum down a bit, but that’s the only thing I noted. Not an issue for me as I loved having my hour-long soak again without the hazard of slipping in the shower. Some online reviews make reference to not knowing the battery state. The instructions are clear in that it’s best to charge it before each use. This probably only takes a few minutes if it’s topped up regularly. There’s a safety feature in that if battery is getting low it won’t allow the lift to go down - i.e. for you to have your bath…. What it does do is have a “reserve” of battery power to go up so you can exit the bath if needed. Low battery is indicated by the red light on the handset.Handset is very easy to use and plugs in at the head of the back rest. It’s a pretty positive click so make sure it’s fully pushed in. It has a hanging hook on it too so it’s within reach, either on the left or right. If you’ve weak hands you’d might like to practise a way of pulling the cable to recharge.I think this device should fit most baths. The instructions (which are detailed and available online) have almost every dimension you’d need shown. The Amazon dimensions are its “maximum” general sizes but no good to check if the seat rises enough for the sides of your bath, or if the footprint of the base in the bath will fit. It’s actually pretty narrow.Overall it’s really really good for my personal circumstances. I was a bit embarrassed that age has now caught up with me, but this has re-enabled me to have a jolly good soak.I hadn’t realised you could get VAT relief for chronic illnesses or disabilities as I’ve just coped by myself and this is the first specialist healthcare device I have had to buy.

Has made bathtime much easier
This bathlift was easy to install .Using it was simple as it has only three buttons on the handset. Getting on to the lift was fine as I felt safe as it is sturdy and secure. The lift goes into and out of the bath at a steady speed and does not jerk or wobble . I found the speed to be satisfactory for my needs. In conclusion ,I have been using this bathlift for three weeks now and feel it was worth the money and has made a positive impact on my independence.

im in heaven
first bath ive been able to have in 2 months - currently cant even shower due to chest and shoulder brace for spiral fracture and last time i tried i was stuch for over an hour while my sisters came to help me out. This was easy to place, easiish to use even with my non dominant hand and though my mobility is limited with fibro , osteoporosis and joint /skeletal issues it was easy to get in and out, i was a little nervous but I feel human again .The delivery was the same day I ordered it and the chap was smashing help , ty so much!

Excellent
Only downside is there's no warning when the battery is going to rum out, luckily I've not been stuck in the bath yet, this chair is easy to install, the fold out extrs chair seat makes it easy to sit and slide to the main part of the seat and it lowers you down smoothly, I couldn't have managed with my broken leg without the help of this chair

Excellent.
This lift is so stable and solid I can't belive the price. I have had my other lift for just over a year (from a well known disability product company) and it was always a bit juddery and felt unstable. This was as far away in quality as it could be. Brilliant.

Good value made me feel more like me.
This was an amazing piece of equipment. I struggle after having both knees replaced getting in and out of the bath, and unable to have a shower in my home. Easily to install, and with mine it is so easy to unplug the small handset to recharge it. I'm a size 24 a rather large lady but it copes well and sides do not pinch when it's lowering me. I weigh 16 1/2 stone. Living on my own it's given me peace of mind , and a feeling of independence and dignity. Huge recommendation from me... Thank you . X 🥰
