Works Well For Pet Mice
This was purchased for my daughter's adult mouse. She had bent the wires and escaped from the first one we bought (a different brand from Amazon), but this habitat is holding up very nicely. There is more than enough space for a single mouse and would probably hold a second one just fine, too. The accessories work as they should and came undamaged. But most importantly, her mouse has not been able to escape!

A great buy for hamsters
Good quality cage. Lots of space and the tubes the hamsters seem to love. Clean up is easy as the cage fits back together with ease.

Good cage but Loud Noisy Wheel
This is a good cage our new hamster loves it. .. but the wheel is not quite it is loud and keeps us up at night. I am going to have to replace the wheel for a silenced one.Other then that it’s a Great cage and was assembled easily.

It's a pretty good cage
I got this cage for my gerbil and he likes it. Plenty of space, two levels, a tube that wraps around and plenty of airflow which is super important. It was really easy to assemble despite the lack of instructions. Very vague instruction but it least it had pictures so I used that to make sure it looked right. I really like that it has two openings, one on top and one on the side. Makes things easier all around. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the bottom isnt Very deep. Hamsters and gerbils and diggers and need the space to do so. This is a hamster cage but there isn't a whole lot of room for much, so I wish the bottom plastic part was a little deeper.

Good find for average price
Easy to assemble, tubes come as halves that the rings hold together, besides attaching to one another. Wheel was small as my hamster isn't one of the little mouse size ones. I put in a bigger wheel. The hamster, aka Rosemary, seems to love her new place. She roams and climbs all over in it, when not running her wheel. She poops in the tubes so cleaning means a bit of disassembly, but it's not so difficult. Most likely anyone under 10-12 yrs old would need help doing that. The cage is quite roomy. She could have a friend but, she doesn't so I just play with her pretty much daily. My 2 little dogs love watching her run around in it. The tubes are clear, so hamster tv is quite entertaining. Over all a good purchase with a fairly average price on it. Seems sturdy enough to last some years. I do recommend replacing the bottle with one that hooks on with a wire. The water tube holder let's it slip out of it. Bottom pan is nice and deep, but the top floor isn't so a bit of bedding gets knocked out of the cage. I just vacuum daily, no biggie. Overall a decent product.

WILL NOT CONTAIN MICE!
The cage itself is great, I cannot fault the company for the fact that our fancy mice can easily escape between the bars. I took a chance on the cage, hoping the bar spacing would be sufficient to contain mice. Both the young mouse and the adult mouse have escaped, so I would not risk this particular cage if you are looking to house mice. I cannot speak to other rodents. The cage itself is roomy and the tubes are easy to take apart and put back together. We have 2 of these cages and we connected them with the provided tubing from each. Between the 2 cages, they had lots of room to explore and play. Mice climb the bars, so providing tubes all the way to the floor is not necessary. I like the larger size of the tubes and the fact that they are clear. I can see the mice easily and can also see when they need to be cleaned. We had to switch to the Kaytee cage and tubes and we are not as happy with them. Tubes are harder to take apart and the cage is much smaller. We still have 2 cages connected, but the total space is definitely reduced. We just cannot spend another 12 hours hunting down pet mice in the back of closets anymore, so alas... Kaytee it must be.

NOT suitable for any species of hamster
UPDATE: Since doing more research, I have discovered this cage is not only unsuitable for a Syrian hamster, but it is unsuitable for ANY species of hamster due to its size. In the U.S., all species of hamster require a bare minimum of 450 square inches of floorspace. I'm not sure why in my initial research, this information wasn't readily available, but the requirements I had initially read about were outdated and inaccurate information. Please do not stick your hamster in a tiny cage like this one. I have since upgraded my robo to a large terrarium and he is doing so much better. He's not gnawing on or climbing the bars anymore and he's not frantically pacing his cage anymore. If you have your hamster in an enclosure that doesn't meet this minimum of 450 square inches, I urge you to upgrade as soon as possible for the sake of your hamster's wellbeing. I wish I had known about these (updated) minimum requirements sooner.-----I got this cage hoping to attach it to my Ferplast black cage for my robo dwarf hamster. (Update: This is the Ferplast Favola cage, which is also too small for any species of hamster.) The package came looking very beat up, and more importantly, the product definitely seemed used. There were tons of scratches in the tubes and several places where the paint had worn off the bars. On top of that, the cage only came with one clip to attach the wire to the base and I could easily lift the wire top off the cage. Also the accessories are pretty much unusable - the wheel is too small for any hamster and the water bottle doesn't work. (I couldn't get water out by pushing the ball in.) However, the reason I'm giving this product one star is because there are a couple places near the door openings where the spacing of the bars is way too big for a dwarf. He could easily get his head through if not his entire body. I don't feel safe putting a robo dwarf in this cage (and the cage is too small to house a Syrian [Update: or ANY species of hamster] - not sure what animal could actually use it.) Overall a huge disappointment. Do not waste your money on this cage.

Do not purchase for a Syrian hamster!
Directions are almost nonexistent. Cage and accessories are cute. Do not purchase for a Syrian hamster. I didn’t do my research and the wheel and tubes are much too small.
