My daughter absolutely loves this painting lab... The instructions are so easy and she has increased her knowledge so much on how to paint with different techniques and we are only on lesson 6. I highly recommend this book. It is well written and will make your child excited to paint!

I don't write reviews very often but this book absolutely deserves one. My daughter is very creative but sometimes runs out of ideas. This book is so cute, lots of different ideas and instructions for kids. I will probably give this book out as birthday gifts for my daughter's friends.

Easy to follow instructions and imaginative art projects. Just make sure your little one is more focused on the process rather than result. To my mind, many of the projects do require some training and skills to make the output look as pictured.Also, be sure you have enough time to spend helping your young artist here and there as younger children most probably would not complete the excersizes on their own. Well, at least my 5 yo couldn’t, though she takes art classes.Most of the projects involve acrilic paint which personally I do not like that much. Still, it is possible to use gouache instead, it works just fine.All in all, it is a great inspiration book that teaches some art tricks and develops imagination.

This is a wonderful book. It was purchased for my 10-year-old budding artist granddaughter, and I know that she will love it. I especially like the wide variety of ideas and the beautifully illustrated step-by-step instructions. My favorite part of the book is the Aspiring Artist section, in which an artist who typifies a particular technique is briefly described and a sample of her work is presented. This helps children connect creativity with actual artists and their careers. This is truly a splendid book.

If you are an instructor and want to liven up your instruction -this is your book! If you are a parent and want to do art with your kids - this is your book! If you are a grandparent, aunt, uncle and want a meaningful way to relate to your young relative-this is your book. And finally, if it has been a long time since you have released your inner artist, and many of us lost touch with that person at an early age-this is your book. I am buying this book for myself and my inner inner child artist -and my grandchildren.

I'm an adult and I bought this book because for a while, I felt unmotivated and uninspired. However, this book has sparked my interests and I'm making art again. Wonderful book with a lot of activities, I'm sure adults will love it as much as kids.

My son loves art, but I'm not great at coming up with ideas for projects on my own. This book has been perfect for both of us. The projects are unique but not too daunting. I highly recommend this book.
