Great toy and great company!
We are so pleased with this purchase. Our 20 month old daughter frequently pulls out this toy as well as the Lauri Shape Stacker. When we first got this toy, my daughter couldn't quite get the pegs all the way into the hole and they would easily come out, but with practice and persistence, she can now push them down far enough that they stay. She really enjoys stacking the pegs both on and off of the peg board, and I love the fine motor practice she gets from playing with it!I am also very pleased with Patch Products customer service. We went on a trip, brought this toy along, and came home one red peg short. I contacted Patch inquiring about obtaining another red peg to complete our set again. I fully expected to pay for the replacement, but I was so pleasantly surprised when I received a prompt response letting me know that another red peg was on it's way to me, free of charge. It arrived just a couple of days later. I highly recommend this as well as the Shape Stacker.

fun toy
Lauri Tall-Stackers - Pegs and Pegboard Set is a fun toy that keeps children entertained for hours on end. They love playing with these pegs and never seem to get bored of them. The bright colors are fun looking and invite them to play. It's good for ages 1 to 9. They really enjoy playing with this toy. It's also durable and easy to store. Just put it in a plastic box and store it somewhere. The pegs are made of really strong plastic and never break. the boards seem like they could tear more easily, but they don't tear. Mine have been used and abused tons and they're doing fine.I highly recommend this toy for your bored kids.

Inviting, Simple, Safe, and Educational!
My almost-two-year-old daughter lit up when she saw this toy! I placed the peg board in front of her and just left the pegs in the open box for her to choose which ones she wanted. The design is simple, yet inviting. With no instruction or help from me, she grasped a peg and poked it right into one of the holes. She has room to increase her fine motor skills as the holes are tight (no doubt to hold the pegs securely--also awesome), and the suggested activities will be very beneficial to her early learning. My daughter still (sometimes) puts objects in her mouth, and these pegs are large enough that they don't pose a safety concern in the slightest way. The only issue the mother of a young child could have is the potential for messes if the pegs get spread around a room...but that is inevitable with any toy that teaches sorting and building. I can also say that it's easy to make sure all pegs are present--there are five each of five colors! This will make a great activity basket!

Good for Developing Fine Motor Strength
This is a great developmental toy, especially for kiddos with fine motor challenges, because the pegs will stack up, and it can also be used for teaching concepts of colors and patterns. We've had it for 3 years now, and finally, finally, our son is able to get the pegs into the foam board. That is actually my only criticism of this toy, the peg holes on the foam board are bit tighter then I think is necessary and can make it pretty challenging if there are a lot of fine motor challenges. We have been using this for the entire 3 years though, because we have been working up to that point, and because the pegs were easier to get together individually then to push into the foam holder, there was a time when he was putting them together like a giant spear and running around the house with it, which added an element of use to this toy I hadn't considered, but since it made my son happy, I thought it was cool.

Great toy for kids of different ages
I have a one year old and a three year old autistic son and both my kids love this toy so much! We've had many therapists who've had similar toys but I'm happy we got this one in particular. They are a large size so I'm not worried about my one year old choking on them. My kids can also play together with this toy. You can stack them or sort them my color or make patterns or designs. The blue board you out them seems pretty sturdy too I was worried my son would try to take a bite out of it but he hasn't yet.

Great toy for young kids!
This toy is simple, fun, and entertains my daughter for quite a while. She's at that stage where stacking things and doing puzzles is her preferred type of play. I love this pegboard set because it's easy enough that it doesn't take much for the child to figure it out so they don't get frustrated, which is perfect for those times when you need a quiet time activity. We've added this toy to our church bag to keep our kids (one and two years old) busy and quiet during our church meetings. The pegs fit together nicely and the foam is sturdy enough that my kids can't rip it or pull it apart. Very pleased!

Great stacking toy for little hands
Bought this set for a gift after the first set I bought was for my 2 y/o twins and they LOVED them. They are easy for them to put together and pull apart without needing help from an adult. They like to stack them as tall as they can and watch the tower fall down, and they also like to stack them by sorting each color. Great for fine motor skills and a fun activity that doesn’t need batteries or make noise like most toys seem to do these days.

love it
we bought this toy for our grand daughter who is 18 month. She is younger then the target age group, but since the pegs are large and easily fit in her fists we went for it. We were looking for a toy that allows her to manipulate small items, that she has to pay attention to and sit still for a few minutes. We got it all in this toy. The colors are vibrant and the board it sturdy and can be wiped clean. our grand daughter was able to place the pegs right away and filled the board easily. We are now exploring other uses. She stacks them from two to ten pegs on top of each other and they make useful drum sticks. we color sort and learn to name the colors while stacking our/and counting. Unless you spend the time to sit and work with your child wait for the recommended age.
