Wireless LED Clip TrackClip Pro Reflector（Match with TrackNP 5 6DOF Head Tracking System )

I bought this Trackclip to work with the TrackNP 5 6DOF Head Tracking System that I also got from Amazon. The clip easily attaches to headphones. There is a rechargeable battery in the clip so it does not need a lead to a power supply. The TrackNP 5 6DOF appears to be a copy of the TrackIR system which comes from the USA. If you purchase the TrackIR from the USA (if it is available) you will most likely have to pay duty on goods imported to the UK so it will definitely be more expensive. The official Track IR Clip has a power supply lead which also needs to be plugged in to your computer hence it is not so good.Sometimes you will hear UTube videos mentioning that you should only buy the official TrackIR products as the copies are not as good. I cannot comment on that but I use the Wireless LED Clip TrackClip Pro Reflector with the TrackNP 5 6DOF Head Tracking System with msfs 2020 and IL-2 Sturmovik and it works great. It has made the gaming experience so much better. You can sit in the cockpit of a plane and look at the surroundings outside in a way which is not unlike using a VFR headset. It definitely gets an A *.

Really well made device, superior to the original TrackIR version in my opinion. My original pro clip was fragile and broke easily, I was using tape to hold it together in the end and wasn't great to use. I saw this product and thought I would be ideal replacement.Battery add on is great, instructions are a little poorly translated and amusing. I will add there are two LEDs on this device, green seems to indicate power from USB cable and the red LED indicates it is charging the battery (red LED goes out when fully charged). There is a tiny slider switch to activate the battery, but no LED to indicate it is on/off other than the faint glow of the IR ends.Tested this we with DCS World and it works great, and much better than my taped together, original pro clip. :)

So I am one of those that doesn't read the instructions properly, always have been, always will be and normally I am to blame when I don't figure something out but this time I can take comfort in the fact that even if I did read them, I still wouldn't have figured out the problem.I charged the device once I got it, before using for 2 hours as instructed to but the red light never went green. So after some YouTubing and eventually I found a video here which explained there is an on/off slider that needs to be switched (to off - so the lights are off) before it will charge. This needs to explained properly as this is something many will miss. The little white plug should be plugged in and never removed - I have seen people complaining it fails after 9 months but these connectors are pretty weak and are not made to be unplugged over and over, and nor should they be here. Connect it once and you're done. Then just look under (or above, depending which way you're holding it) this port and you'll find the on/off slider. Mine came with the slider to "on" but remember to turn it off when charging - You cannot charge and use it at the same time.With that out the way, onto the device and it's performance. 10/10 hands down a MUST. I was using the basic one with a cap and this did work fine - a few dead zones but nothing major - but the pro clip really tracks nicer and allows for a bigger space - way more than needed - but it means you can get this working no matter what. I am using this with a wheel stand and a 48 inch OLED on the wall so the main tracker is higher up and further away then if I was sat at a desk with a normal monitor and it works flawlessly. The clip is easy to attach to my Astro A50 headphones and the adjustments you can make with the hinge and LEDs make getting it perfectly setup each time a breeze.I have given this 4 stars PURELY because of how bad and unclear the instructions are. If they fix them, this is an easy 5 out of 5 stars.

For the price, this product is very disappointing. I bought it a year ago, and it has already broken due to internal soldered wires coming loose and disconnecting. It's only so expensive because they basically have a monopoly, this couldn't have cost more than £5 to make.

Don’t put up with a reflective IR Trackclip or the wired version of this device. This wireless IR solution is elegant and works 10 times better even in the dark. No need to have lights on at night. You get full 6dof with ease. Transforms DCS and makes head tracking in combination with a large monitor a pleasure for those of us who are unsatisfied with current VR technology.Essential : Go to the software you’re using and change it to this IR TrackClip Pro and set your curves accordingly. Job done. You now have the best possible head tracking solution. A bargain for how good it is. Rare to have an aftermarket solution better than the OEM.Comes with USB charging cable. The battery lasts for ages. Longer than any marathon flying session you could possibly do. Comes in very small box. It’s very light and fits perfectly to Sennheiser HD650 that I use for audio. Don’t hesitate, just get this thing and don’t do what I did and put up with suboptimal head tracking with the useless reflective IR trackclip forcing you to have lights on at night.

I have a modified PS3 Eye camera, and this works wonderfully even 6 months in. Well worth the money if you dont want to solder your own. Weird usb to 3.5mm jack charger however but it works!

For the last 12 months i've been struggling with the standard hat clip that came with my TrackIR, although it kind of did the job it was very clunky, not to mention hot as I had to wear the cap to mount it on.After sweating it out in the summer heat i'd finally had enough so I brought this and O-M-G it's like night and day compared to the basic clip! Can't recommend it enough, my DCS game has improved tenfold

Does not appear to add any improvement on the original head tracker included with the Tracker IR kit but has the inconvenience of having to be re-charged regularly.
