The size is impressive for the price. I only need this to get waste from one side of my property to another so I won't have to wear it out quickly, if it can be worn out. It is very sturdy.

The 2 wheeled SmartTote2 is a straightforward 35 gallon portable waste tank for RV's. Make sure you tighten the hose connections prior to using as they are quite loose as shipped and would leak if not tightened. I decided that this was the least cost tank (over the 4 wheeled version) provided I could lift the tow end. I use a trailer dolly and some 3,500# Mule Tape as a handle for this purpose. I read numerous reviews of the optional rubber tow strap breaking and I already have an ample supply of the Mule Tape on hand. The trailer dolly makes lifting the tank very easy and allows easy rolling even through grass.

I recently purchased the SmartTote 2 RV Portable Waste Tote Tank and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The tank is strong and durable, making it perfect for long trips on the road. The 35 gallon capacity is just the right size for my needs, and the 2 wheels make it easy to transport even when full. Very lightweight, easy to use and easy to move by hand when full. Not as nice looking as some others but looks do not get the job done. this is well worth the low price.

First time I used it the glue came off the end piece so it leaks and slides off. I havent tried to tighten the clamp yet but worried that it will break the plastic. Then the gasket off the end piece fell into the hole where i was dumping my first load. And now it really leaks. Tried to get gasket off another part I alreadt had and they are attached really well so maybe MY gasket was auppose to be. And finally...how much would it cost to make some wire or something to hook it to a vehicle and include it in the package. Bungie didnt work for me, after I jacked it up to get it close to ball hitch, tied on bungies as tight as i could, the bungie just stretched to the ground, finally got some twine. Oh I guess one more thing, the first thing I thought of, why such cheap tires on a heavy load that more than likely will be on mostly gravel? So there are a lot of improvements to be made from my point of view.

This is by far the worst product I have purchased from Amazon and unfortunately did not get a chance to use it until after the product return window closed. Thetford is supposed to be one of the best manufacturers of sewer items for campers but they dropped the ball big time on this one. The video that is shown is for the four wheel version, not the two wheel and has huge differences. First of all, there is no extending handle on the two wheel version that you can hook to the ball for towing. There is also no strap included so you are pretty much stuck with trying to hook it up to the vehicle some other way. Although quite frustrating, I was finally able to hook it up using a ratchet strap. Be aware, though, that you will not be able to even budge the tote when it is full so you would need to hook it up prior to filling it up. This is not always possible depending on where you are parked. That, however, is not the reason for the 1 star review. After finally getting it hooked up to my truck and started for the dump station, one of the wheels came off. There was nothing I could do to put it back on due to the weight of the full tote so had to keep on going (very slowly). Within a few yards the second wheel came off and by the time I got to the dump station gray water was leaking everywhere (with everyone staring) and just about every piece of the tote had broke. I have had a tote before but it was the previous design with four wheels and I was able to use it with no problem. The hose ended up breaking on it and I couldn't locate a replacement so replaced the entire unit with this one. This was a horrible, horrible experience and was even worse when I came back home and found the return time had expired and couldn't find a way to get in touch with Amazon to inform them. This left me with only this product review page so I am unable to comment on the customer support aspect. If I had this to do over again I would put the tote on a small trailer before filling and make sure I had room to back it up next to the RV sewer. Filling the tote was not a problem but I cannot really comment on how easy it is to empty since everything broke on it. If I was willing to try it again, I might have a problem with the tote being higher up than the RV sewer. So bottom line is I will break camp in the future rather than go through this mess again and seriously question whether I will buy any Thetford products in the future.

I bought this to have some extra capacity while camping and it works perfectly. It's easy to use and easy to move when needed.

Like the color! Grey, doesn’t stand out like the blue ones do. The size is appropriate, hubby makes sure not to get it completely full.... because it’s really heavy to pull when full. Only suggestion, the wheels could be bigger. Also, had to purchase another clear joint to attach to make it easier to load and unload black/grey water. Also it made it easer to ‘see’ what was going on. So make sure you buy that attachment. Also, buy disposable gloves to protect yourself.
