Q: Does it take ounces out 2 decimal places to the right? For example: 2.65 oz?

No, it only shows tenths of an ounce in the pounds-ounces setting. Grams is only in whole numbers, but I can’t image why you would need anything smaller if you are using it for food as intended.

Q: Can you place a hot pan on it?

I would not advise placing a hot pan on the scale for two reasons. First, underneath the stainless steel surface of the scale is a sheet of glass. Placing a hot pan on the stainless steel will conduct the heat to the glass and may cause the glass to shatter. Second, if you put a pan on the scale, you will need to remember that the weight of the pan, or the pan with food in it, will be displayed. The direction sheet tells you the multi step process to measure food weights accurately when they are in a container.

Q: Does it read out in lbs (ex. 1.50 lb) and also in lb:0z (ex 1lb:80z)?

If you think about it, it would be next to impossible to measure avoirdupois pounds via fractions of a pound. For example 13 ounces would read 0.8125 lbs. Thank the idiotic and antiquated English system of measurement for such absurdities. So the best the scale can do is measure 1..4375 lbs, as 1lb.7 oz. I guess you'll have to calculate fractions of a lb. in ounces. 'Blame the laziness of the American people who refuse to join the rest of the world and use the metric system!!!!!

It comes w/ two, that's all it needs.
