Works. Need to invert CO2 cylinder and only allow a small amount of flow. Flow will stop if opened a large amount.

Why pay $16 for 14oz of co2
I have used this twice already. Enough time goes between actually using it. I can't keep the sequence straight. So, I have kept the instructions for just that reason. It works well if the steps are followed correctly. I have experience no leaks from any of the connections. It was a perfect for for my 5lb co2 canister I bought on Amazon and the canister that comes with my soda stream device. I pay less than $25 for 5lbs of co2. Which is almost 6 - 14 oz canisters. Which would have cost about $96. Pays for itself in less than 1 - 5lb fill up.

This WILL save you money, eventually...
After years of Soda Stream use, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 10lb. tank and the Adapter hose. The tank was $110.00 plus $30.00 to fill. The instructions are fairly clear. At my first attempt to fill empties, I was only able to get around 10 oz. of CO2 in the cylinder. I suppose it's ultimately irrelevant, as I'm only paying for what goes in (unlike a paid exchange).Based on my usage of around 1 cylinder every 2 months, the investment will pay for itself in under 2 years, and then I'll be saving around $90.00 plus per year after that.Add the savings to the convenience and it's a no brainer.Frankly, had I done this years ago I would have saved lots more money on exchanges and extra cylinders (I have 4), but it's soda water under the bridge...

Not working with the blue soda stream bottles
Not sure if it is this adapter hose or something about the blue soda stream bottles I am trying to refill, but every attempt I make gets me nowhere. I have a co2 tank with a siphon hose and follow the instructions exactly (including freezing he soda stream bottle), but the only result seems to be just pressurizing the hose with almost none of the co2 going into the soda stream bottle. I would love for this product to work for me as I have invested about $250 in the new 20 lb tank and the initial fill.

Great quality!
Be sure you know which sodastream cylinders you need to fill, this is for the threaded (blue)model NOT QUICK CONNECT cylinders (pink). Between the other comments and the product video, this makes it pretty straightforward to refill the small cylinders. I found that freezing the cylinder after the fill will compress the gas enough to fit another 100-150g, but I still fall short of the 1250g they say a full cylinder should weigh. I’ve typically been able to get 300g into the cylinder and not the 400g+ but it doesnt matter much to me since I refill as needed now.

Couldn’t be any easier!
I originally had the other “non pipe” bottle refillers and that was very hard to get right. It had no control over the flow into the co2 cylinder. This one is super easy. You screw the thing onto the bottle and it has a knob to slowly open the check valve. This is critical because it gives you control over when and how you are ready to fill and minimizes the “shoosh!” of co2 coming out the sides. Unlike the other one I had which was just on/off…. Lots of “shoosh” with that one.So yeah. Whoever designed this product put a lot of thought into it. Its design is elegant and minimizes the chance of co2 shooshing everywhere. If you are looking to fill sodastream bottles don’t bother with the other type of apparatus. You really want this one.

Understand How to Fill Sodastream CO2 Cylnders Before Ordering
This product is high quality and works exactly as advertised. The instructions are a bit slim so I thought I'd walk folks through it1) If you have a bulk industrial gas supplier they will "rent" you a tank that you just bring back when empty to swap for a full one. After the deposit you just pay for the gas. The larger the tank the cheaper the CO2 is per weight but the more expensive the deposit is. The label should read "food grade" CO2.2. Unless the tank has a siphon tube in it, you will have to turn the tank upside down to fill the Sodastream cylinder. The larger the tank the more awkward this will be. Also you need to assure that there is no chance the tank will slip and the top valve will snap off. This is EXTREMELY dangerous. Use common sense.3. Modern Sodastream cylinders are designed to be difficult to fill by consumers. Sodastream doesn't want you to do this and they make it hard. The valve will close internally if too much pressure is applied when filling it. When opening the main 1/4 turn valve handle, open *slowly* until you just start to hear the hiss. Weigh the empty sodastream cylinder before and after. The small ones hold a maximum of 453g of CO2. I can usually get between 400-420g in if I freeze the cylinder overnight.

Great once you go slowly
Update as of Jan 10 2023 - Got a small leak in one of the threaded connections after approx 6 months. I use this thing about once a month to fill 3 small bottles. Contacted the seller and they were amazing to deal with. Had a new replacement delivered within a few days!! Definitely recommend this!!Filled 3 bottles of gas for my soda-stream. All I can stress is to go super slow.It took me 2 tries to fill the 3rd bottle as I thought I can just let the CO2 rush in super quick. It didn't work.To control the gas flow, I used the red handle closest the large CO2 tank (not the release valve). I slowly cracked it up to about 1/4 way open so could hear the gas flowing... then left it like that for 25-30 secs. Seemed to work for me like that!Follow the instructions on the either of the 2 instruction sheets they give you. I used a kitchen scale to make sure of the difference before and after, but you can also tell by the weight of the bottle after when you pick it up if it worked.
