Sikaflex Mortar Fix
I used this on my chimney joints, seemed to work well and I think it will protect what's left of the mortar (4) tubes

Bought to repair
Product was a lot lighter in color than my existing mortar. Had a hard time dispensing out if the tube, kinda messy. But, it does appear to be holding the loose bricks though…

Color is as pictured
I bought the one that is colored limestone, but it looks silver next to my mortar. I'll take another picture in a week or so once it's had time to cure to see if it changes colors.Either way, it is exactly the color that is shown from the manufacturer in the pictures when it comes out of the tube.

Mortar Fix
This is just the right texture & consistency for caulking the limestone of my house. There were hairline cracks in the limestone where I could see daylight from the garage to outside. Filling the cracks horizontally is easy with this product as it doesn’t easily leak out. I used this product name for self leveling sidewalks & the driveway also. Very happy with this brand. Be sure to use something such as paper towel or rag to catch the flow till you get it in the upright position. Otherwise quite messy.

It's a disaster
The color is like blue-gray. The texture is like glue, not regular mortar. It's super difficult to get it out of the tube. I had to remove it after applying it because it didn't match the original mortar at all. Oh well, super difficult to remove it. It wasted money and time. Now I have to shop in the local store to get one that can match the color. Don't buy.

Not for novices
I'm a novice at repairing mortar. I first tried a different brand that was easy to apply, but it was way too liquid-y. Then, I tried the Sikaflex and couldn't get it to come out of the container. I followed the instructions and punctured the seal as well as cut off the tip at the appropriate spot. It was almost impossible to get the product out of the tube. I can't tell if I'm just too weak, but I had a stronger friend also try and he had difficulty too. I was trying to fix a small gap that had developed between my house and my concrete walkway. Perhaps I purchased the wrong product, but after watching videos, this one seemed to be what I needed. With this product, I can't tell if I am too weak or if I received duds (I purchased 2 tubes). The expiration date was a year from the time I received them, so they weren't expired. My friend didn't think it should be so difficult to get the product out of the tube. I gave up and hired a professional. I wish I knew if the problem was with the product or with my friend and me.
