These fit nice and exactly what I wanted which is zippered front pockets but doesn't look like you're on safari. Don't care if they are slash or cargo, I just want zippers when I travel. These have cargo zippers but especially in the navy blue I got you don't see them so prominently. Held up very well on a 4 week trip with numerous zips and unzips per day. The XL measures out somewhere between 36 and 38 with no elastic expansion but will expand easily beyond 40 probably. I started the trip with them a little loose but ended with them being no so loose. I would recommend.

I wasn't sure if I would like these based on their design but I realized quickly that these are very comfortable and the design and feel really grew on me. I wear these when I'm active taking hikes and on long walks because they're lightweight, but also they're comfortable around the house -- so I wear these quite a bit. Two weeks after my first pair of short I ordered another in a different color. Two weeks later I ordered ANOTHER pair in yet another color. I have grey, tan, and green. I love these shorts and wear them almost daily.

The only issue I have is the pockets are very shallow. There is a tendency to have things drop out when sitting. Other than that, it's great!

Went to a race that was out of town, couldn’t get shorts locally anymore. Purchased these because I’d be sitting in the bleachers a lot and wanted something that would not only keep me cool but keep my things secured. Keys, wallet, and phone were all able to be put away and zipped shut. No worries about things falling out and to the ground or someone behind me pickpocketing. They fit well, the elastic was nice to have some flexibility.

The best shorts I’ve ever bought period… For golf they are the best, plenty of zip up pockets which I love cause I can keep my charge cards and other things handy for purchases when the drink person comes around and I don’t have to worry about loosing them, they fit and according to my wife look great on me and they feel great too and I love the colors they match well with all my active type shirts. Great for fishing as well. I’m just so happy I bought these shorts and will be buying more!!!

I bought these shorts because of the multiple zippered pockets, which are safer when traveling, and because I had assumed a wrinkle-proof material. Well, the pockets are nice and deep, and the zippers seem to be of good quality.They run small, so I would suggest getting one size larger than usual. Several people had commented on the short fly zipper, and I didn’t feel that was a big deal. However, the shorts have a shorter than average ‘rise’, and too much material in the front. The result of this is that they fit well in the rear, but the front tends to have floppy extra material.To test them out for wrinkling, I took a 2+ hour round trip drive. They wrinkle, and I’m going to wear them again just to see how much worse they get. I also spilled some of a soft drink on them, and the liquid just rolled off, leaving no wet or stain marks.

I don't usually take the time to write a product review, but I'm making an exception. These shorts are very well made. They're light, and fit my bod just right. But, most of all, they really do feel great! Kind of like putting on a nice pair of leather gloves that just seem to fit your hand perfectly. And, after washing, I put them in the sun on the back deck to dry. Wow, do they ever dry quickly! I hope you're as happy with these shorts as I am. I think I'm going to buy another pair.

These fit right, feel right, and great pants. I keep ordering them because they are that good.
