What else do I need to buy in order to use this device?

Same here. Got this for my daughter for Christmas this year. First off, it did NOT come with and SD card, nor did it have any internal storage. After we went out and purchased an SD, loaded it with songs, the player actually worked for a few days, and then she went to charge it, and it will NOT charge. We were thinking it was the charging cable, so went out and purchased a new one of those, plugged it in and waited 30 min charge time, still NOT charging. Do NOT waste your money, and if you already wasted your money, contact Amazon and get it back.

There is NOT sufficient guidance in how to setup device. I downloaded files (MP3, MP4, AVI, MOV, WMV) I could see them there in File Explorer, but on the player no files showed up, or if they were listed they could not be played.
