Game Changer
There are two parts to this review: first bed wetting alarms in general, second this particular product.I read prior reviews before purchasing and they gave me hope. I bought this for our daughter when she was a month shy of 7. I had tried every behavioral modification with absolutely no success. She is an enormously heavy sleeper and was very motivated to be dry but just did not wake up. As a family physician I know that at 7 we no longer consider bed wetting to be normal and the first recommended treatment was a bed alarm, but it seemed like no one actually uses them. I also knew that behavior modification takes time and requires a lot of encouragement. The alarm worked. She finally woke up and slowly went from soaking herself to tiny accidents to no accidents. There were still occasional small accidents after the first 5 weeks, but by week 8 she was accident free. And now she has been accident free for 5 months. I then moved onto my 5-year-old and then my 3-year-old. It was a faster process with each. The first two nights were rough with my 3-year-old (waking up 4 times with accidents). But after 2 weeks she was accident free and is almost at week 10. So expect lots of sleep interruptions for the parents in the first few days and even weeks, but it is worth it!This particular product. The alarm is incredibly loud if you leave it on the loudest setting and it terrified my children at first. But my oldest especially needed that. And it insured that I would also hear it and come help from down the hall. Amazingly, it never woke up my other children (when they werenāt wearing it - and two of them share a room). I also could never figure out how to turn it off other than opening up the battery compartment and taking a battery out. But that prevented my unmotivated 5-year-old son from learning to turn it off himself and rolling over. I was a little nervous about the cord being a strangling risk for my 3-year-old. I always tucked the excess cord into her pj bottoms to try to minimize that risk. So all that said, it might be worth going for a cordless option, particularly in younger kids. But for us, this product worked great x3 and we cannot believe we have no kids in pull-ups! And no more soaking through the pull-ups and needing to wash sheets almost daily. Also, the mattress pad that comes with the alarm is awesome. It soaks up big accidents without getting the sheets wet, easily goes over sheets so that you just take it off in the middle of the night when they had an accident (and not have to get new sheets on the bed), and it can be dried in the dryer.Enuresis alarms work! (Especially now that the sensor goes in the underwear and not on the mattress like it did eons ago - the faster the negative feedback the better for behavior modification.)

Worked fantastic for my 6yo son
My middle child for whatever reason never 'outgrew' bed wetting. At age 6 he was still wetting the bed frequently and had outgrown the largest pullup size and I decided to try something. I discussed with my son buying this for him and he wanted to try it out. I think it was important that I didn't force it on him. Anyway the first couple nights were rough, the alarm was SUPER loud and he got very scared when it went off. We ended up taping cotton balls all over it to lessen the noise. But...it worked!!! My 6yo after we were done said to me 'thanks mom I really like wearing underwear to bed' š.

Needs improvement
After reading reviews on dozens of alarms we went with wet stop. All I can figure is their child sleeps completely still because this alarm sucks! Yes I downloaded the book, read all of it, watched the video, and read the instructions. We were all excited including my child, but this was a big disappointment. The problems we experienced this week with the alarm: goes off out of blue for no reason, doesn't go off at all but child is completely wet, or several times it came unclipped while my kid was sleeping. First time it came unclipped I thought oh maybe we didn't clip it right but no it doesn't matter if you have a kid that moves around it's no going to stay clipped. No only is it frustrating to find it unclipped and my kid completely wet but still asleep it's also unsafe to have that long cord just hanging around while my kid is sleeping. I think the whole idea of wet stop is great but the alarm equipment needs some serious improvement. The bed pad in this kit works great.

5 Year Old Constant Wetter
So, Iāll update as weāll go along. Our child decided to potty train at 3 years. He did great after 2 months, and woke himself up in the middle of the night to pee. When he hit the last grade of pre-school, he was not allowed naps as much, and started peeing his bed on almost a nightly basis. We have now crossed a one year span of bed wetting, and a few months ago my husband started getting him up at midnight to pee. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnāt. But after 3 months, my husband wanted to sleep through the night. We bought this 3 weeks ago. The first two were encouraging. The alarm is annoying and wakes up the child (deep sleeper). Last week he didnāt wake up to the alarm at all. Last night I walked in and pulled the plug on the alarm and walked away, because I canāt afford to wake him up and change every set itwm of clothing and sheets to have him wet a second time before 6:00 AM (now totally common). We are going into week 4 starting tonight. Will update more later.10/31 UPDATE : We've given up. Child now sleeps through the alarm. Will perhaps try again in 6 months, but we'd like to sleep ourselves.
