I purchased this at a discounted price. The price has now gone up substantially. This tripod is probably the best all rounder for Sony users (i got the Sony plate). I mainly shoot video and this ticks a lot if the boxes. Namely ability to attach my A7iii, my iphone, and also shoot in portrait mode. Its not as light as carbon fibre ones, and I probably wouldn't take it on holiday. But for work it is exactly what I need.

The tripod itself is great. I bought this version for the extea stability of the Sony plate.However, the Sony plate will only attach directly to the camera body.If you are using a vertical grip, the plate will not attach to the grip properly. If you try to attach it at an angle but you risk damaging your grip.This product needs to be sold with two plates (i) the Sony plate when just using your camera body; (ii) a universal flat plate when using your camera with a vertical grip.If it was supplied with both plates, I would have given 5 stars.Another point is that the tripod is most sturdy with legs fully extended. If you are shooting low down eg using macro, and don't extend the legs or only extend one level, then the tripod is less stable.

was very disappointed with the size of the head , also for the price they did not even include a plate to connect camera to the tripod. The quick release is not quick release you have to unscrew the plate before removing, very disappointed, had had better cheapo tripods will be returning just because no plate included.
