Small Watches are Classy - Making a Comeback.
The Seiko 5 line still represents the best value among automatic watches. Yes - at 37mm, this watch is small by today's standards. But traditionally, gents watches were generally in this size range, often smaller. Giant 40mm-plus watches are a relatively recent trend. Small watches are(ready?)"classy" and (ready, again?) "understated" - concepts that the "in your face" crowd should mature to. Patek Philippe's Calatrava 3919, which would set you back 10's of thousands as a luxury brand, is a gents watch that is 33mm, with a face that's about the size of a quarter. Additionally, smaller watches are less prone to dings and dents from daily wear. This Seiko 5 is an inexpensive, classy watch, beautiful in icy stainless steel and silver dial. You don't even realize you're wearing it. The 7S26 movement used in this watch has a reputation for performing decades without need of servicing - a true workhorse. I own many watches, most I spent more money on - and while I like all of them, this unassuming silver dial Seiko might just be my desert island watch.

Junk! Buy a Citizen or purchase from a reputable dealer.
I bought this SNKK65 5 to wear while doing yard work, to wear to a crowded event, or anything else that might jeopardize, damage or cause me to lose my Longines Conquest. The watch is automatic, but it wouldn't run for any length of time. Seiko is a good watch brand, but I won't buy from a third-party retailer like Jomashop via Amazon again. The sticker seal on the outer box was broken and the box looked haggard and worn. The watch had a tag on it, but the small pillow the watch was on had debris on it and looked dirty. The bracelet was cheap in a bad way. I compared it to my Longines as well as a Citizen with a stainless band, and this one looked like an alloy that was NOT pure stainless. I'm sure it's a good watch, but buy it sealed with a factory warranty, otherwise, find a nice Citizen for $70 and you will not go wrong.

Face was too small for me. Would look good on a thin wrist. Band feels a little cheap but I like heavier watches.

Great Sieko quality in an automatic
This self-winding automatic watch is a classic! It runs with a sweeping second hand and a glass through the rear of the case so you can see the motion! I would recommend it to anyone who regularly wears a watch and wants a comfortable, dependable watch at a great price.

Suggestions for Ad Write-Ups
The watch was an excellent choice however, it was my second choice since the first watch was too heavy and bulky and I returned it. The watch band of this watch is too large, but the supplier told me to take it to a jeweler for adjustment, which is an additional cost.In communicating with the seller, i have learned that it is Amazon who is responsible for the ad write-ups. My suggestion, to save time and costs associated with returns and refunds, is to include watch specifications in the ads. That is, weight, dial size, band width and length, etc. In that way the buyer has the specifics and there is no room for guess work as to these important features.Robert RosenbaumAmerican Canyon, CA

Seiko 5 series
Just bought the watch within a couple days. The watch is really nice. The band however is cheaply made. Just moving the watch around by the dial you can immediatly tell that the band is not great. The watch dial itself is wonderful and has some weight to it. I have really thin wrists and this watch fits me perfectly.
