Bissell 86T3 Machine Hose, Green

How do you loose a big hose and suction head this big? I don't know but I did it. Thank goodness this is available as a replacement. Worked fine, stairs got cleaned and the rest of the carpets too. As per other reviews, the suction head is a solid black so you don't get to watch the water being sucked back up it into the tank. If you need to replace your big green machine upholstery and stair attachment, this works fine.

Works as good as the original. Material it is made of seems as durable as the original. Wish the hand tool was clear like the original so I could see what is being sucked up into the machine.

This hose and spray/brush/suction combo is a great add-on to complete the capabilities of your carpet cleaner. First of all, it makes cleaning stairs very straightforward, an action that is mostly impossible without this attachment. It sprays your carpet on-demand, brushes it clean, and then vacuums out the freed-up dirt and most of the moisture just like the Big-Green only it's much more maneuverable. Excellent value for something that makes the Big Green Carpet Cleaner even more capable.

I give this hose a 4.5. It is rugged, fits exactly like the original hose and works perfectly. I've been doing weeks of cleaning dog pee out of our carpets (old dog, since passed away), and was pushing on the old nozzle so hard I cracked it. This replacement is perfect - same length, same fit, no leaks, and cleans wonderfully. The only difference with the original hose is that the original head had clear plastic on the front. This is useful to see when you stop scooping up water/soap from the carpet and can move on. Were it not for that difference, I'd give it a 5. I'm fanatical about cleaning carpet. After soap I will do to rinses with a lot of water to make sure I get down in to the pad. But I also want to make sure I get every bit of water out of the carpet and pad. The Green Machine with this hose does the trick.

Unfortunately, my experience with the Bissell Commercial Hose & Upholstery Tool has been disappointing. This is now the third time I’ve used the hose, and the handle broke again—right at the same spot, just below the trigger where the screw is located. The first one broke after cleaning two mattresses, and this replacement broke while I was cleaning the carpet in a vehicle. Despite not putting much pressure on it due to my arthritis, the tool still couldn’t hold up.Some users on other platforms have mentioned a possible design flaw, and I’m starting to believe they might be right. At this point, I’m going to try ordering it again in hopes of finally getting my couch clean, but if it breaks once more, duct tape may be my last resort. It's frustrating, but it still does the job when it works. Hopefully, future iterations improve the durability.

Wish Bissel sold just the small hose attachment.

Had a hard time finding the replacement part for my Bissel big green machine. This works great.
