Walker SoundFX 18930 Direct Fit Exhaust Muffler 2" Outlet (OD) for Toyota Corolla

I bought this for Toyota. My muffler recently broke right at the weld where the pipe meets the actual muffler. It was rattling and making all sorts of noise. I could have just had it welded back together but the flange on the old muffler was also busted so I decided to purchase new.This muffler is a direct fit for my 2003 Corolla. Literally just bolt in this new muffler to the existing resonator pipe. I saw another product on Amazon for my Corolla by Walker that appeared to just be the muffler without the exhaust pipe extension on the back. I was worried that this one may be similar but I received exactly what was pictured, the muffler with the exhaust pipe.I ran into an issue where the flange on the resonator pipe that bolts to the muffler had rusted out and was broken. I ended up cutting the old flange off the resonator pipe and buying the Walker 36132 split flange repair kit. This flange can be placed around the existing exhaust pipe and then tightened down into its proper position. This saves you from having to purchase a whole new exhaust pipe for just a stupid flange. After installing this I was able to bolt on my new muffler perfectly. Dont forget to purchase a new gasket as well. For my Corolla it was the Walker 31378.Overall, this product was decently priced, was prime eligible so I had it 2 days later, and appears to be an exact OEM fit on my Corolla. The car sounds nice and quiet with it on and I have zero issue with it. Very happy with this.

Bought this in June 2022 and installed in September. Drove car less than 7000 miles in that time. Muffler had horrendous welds and I figured they would fail first. Ended up breaking off behind the flange where the metal was thinned because of the bad weld. OEM muffler lasted 11 years. Terrible quality. Don't recommend.

Easy install perfect fit

Fit my 2009 Toyota Corolla LE. I was nervous to purchase this part without knowing if it would be a perfect fit. I ordered it right away without hesitation after my old muffler had completely fallen off! Local auto shops wanted over $100.00 for the part and shipping that would take a month. I could not wait so I purchased it here, and I’m glad I did! It did not come with replacement bolts or a gasket which was no big deal. My father easily installed this in about an hour. Since this is not a genuine Toyota part it is a tiny bit larger so it slightly makes contact with the heat shield which, I have been told is no big deal and is perfectly safe. This replacement part saved me over $800.00!!! Very happy customer! Amazon always comes in handy. Also, I have Amazon Prime and the part was delivered in two days and was on my doorstep by 2pm! Very satisfied and I highly recommend purchasing this. :)

Slightly deeper sound compared to factory. Still a fairly quiet muffler on my Corolla.

The muffler arrived in a very damaged box and they refused to give me a refund. The muffler will fit the car, but not the same as OEM.

The one comment would be that the nuts for receiving the spring fasteners were welded on the original muffler, and weren't supplied with the muffler. I cut off the old flange nuts and re-used them for the new installation. A minor inconvenience but something to be aware of. This issue would probably be avoided if you order the spring bolts along with the muffler.
