190 CFM Fan, 8 Ft Duct and Speed Control - All Five Star
So Amazon needs to get their act together when it comes to having multiple items on one page and you can only review one item versus each one separately. Makes reading the reviews a PITA too. I have found this in other areas as well. Come on Amazon - get your sh*t together. Okay that said, I purchased the iPower 190 CFM 4" fan, the 8 Ft x 4" aluminum duct and the iPower Speed Controller. I am using all three to vent heat and humidity out of a 4' x 11' grow room that is inside a 11' x 11' bedroom on the 2nd floor of my home. Just setting it up since most grow rooms are in basements.iPower 190CFM Fan:I have the fan mounted in a vacant room adjacent to my grow room. It's actually in the closet in that room. I mounted it to the wire frame shelf using plastic wire ties. So that says a lot about the vibration level of the fan. It runs very smooth and is relatively quite as well - and it's not too heavy. Now if I had it in the grow space where I already have the noise of the light fans (x5) and oscillating fans, it might add to that, but not enough to make it overly loud when working in the room, or when the door is shut. I did not want to mount it in the grow room as I have already taxed the power available in there for lighting and running a heater - it's cold in MI right now so a heater is sometimes needed at night when the lights are off. I have it on a timer so it runs on and off during the day and comes on a few times during the night too. It pulls the hot air out very quickly and that is on Medium speed using the speed controller, and has really helped stabilize the humidity levels. I am still working on the exact times it needs to run and speed, but it does a great job. Oh, and as mentioned by another reviewer, it runs more quietly when on full speed and not regulated. Just a thought if noise is an issue for your setup. It's very well made and like I noted, it runs real smooth and quiet and has a real strong draw to it - even on medium. I was not sure if the 190 CFM would be enough, but my demands are not high so I figured I'd start there and go up if need be. So far it seems more than adequate.8 ft Flexible Duct:I am using this this with the iPower 190 CFM exhaust fan to draw the heat and humidity out of my grow tent. It came all compressed into a small package which was convenient. The two clamps included are not cheap, but good quality clamps. I used it to go through two sheets of drywall near the top of the grow room space and the other end connects to the exhaust fan in a spare adjacent room. I have it temporary taped in place until the 4" intake vent I purchased arrives. I did not need to extend it to the full length so having it compressed made the installation a lot easier. I did not have to cut it so I can extend it later if I need too and I don't have a length of hose to deal with in the mean time.Other than that, it's a pretty standard coiled aluminum duct - maybe a bit thicker than some I have used, thinner than others, but about what I expected at this price. If I end up venting it out the window, I will be buying more of the same hose. I have something similar on my dryer, which I recommend versus the plastic type to prevent fires, and this one seems a bit better grade then another one I purchased at Home Depot. Definitely easier to work with in the compressed form.iPower Speed Control:Not much to this item. I was not sure if I would need to have the fan on high speed so I figured I'd get this just in case, and considering the low price it was worth the little extra money. It's made by the same company that makes the fan so I am not concerned about it harming the fan motor. I have it plugged into a 24 hr mechanical timer that is divided into 15 minute intervals which allows a lot of flexibility. I wanted a timer that plugged into an outlet and allowed the speed control to plug into that. If you are setting something up in a similar configuration than I would recommend this timer:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JLS13SY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02__o00_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1It's the only one that has the outlet in the face so the timer can plug in and not get in the way of the rotating timer face. It worked out real well. So yeah, the speed control does what is should do - controls the speed of the fan.In Summary:I can definitely recommend all three of these items for anyone who has similar requirements.

Did the job.
Once I finally got around to stacking my dryer on top of my washer, I needed to get a longer vent. I loved it. It arrived all compact about 5 inches, and easily, smoothly, flexibly stretched out to 8 feet. The foil IS quite thin and fragile, so handle with care as to not rip holes in it. It is about as thin at aluminum. Might not be a good choice if you have pets or children that can get to it. But for me, it is perfect. Simple to use with one small flathead to tighten, no little screws to lose. I appreciated the simplicity, the light weight and easy to use. My old one was made out of sturdier material, but was also more likely to cut you around the edges, also more awkward to maneuver and deal with due to its thicker and stiffer materials.

What a hose!
I mean, come on now. What can you really say about a dryer vent hose? It vents my dryer? YES! It's full of hot air? Yes, when the dryer is running it certainly is. It was super easy to install, once I realized that I could slide my dryer away from the wall. Before that, it was kind of dicey (just joking, of course) Comes with the clamps that made it very easy, and the old ones that were on the old hose might be able to be used for some project somewhere that doesn't require actual precision, cuz they were pretty rusty. So, now that I've said everything I can say about a dryer vent hose, let me say that it is GREAT for the money, EASY to install, and STURDY! Good enough? GREAT VALUE!

Good enough, items as described
Not the sturdiest 4" duct that I've seen, but the flimsy build can make certain parts of setting this up a little easier. Does the job and it was nice to have the tape and clamps included.

Price made the difference, including clamps
On my DYI list - clean out the dryer vent hose. Started the job and saw that vacuuming was so-so. At this price... why not just replace?! One day delivery and the job is done without disrupting the laundry cycle at home. It is a very tight fit; but, I managed by screwing the hose onto the two pipe endings (out of the dryer and onto the output into the garage). Only bled a little bit. the clamps were perfect.

It didn't work for me.
The vent hose came exactly as described but unfortunately did not work for my dryer application. Return process was extremely easy and refund was quick. Great customer service unfortunately just wasn’t what I needed.

Fast shipping and fits our dryer
Our new Whirlpool dryer didn't come with a vent hose. I decided to look for one on Amazon and I'm glad I did. This vent hose came in great condition. The length is just right and the hose has two clamps so I don't have to look for them separately. It should last us a while.
