I don't have a way to test if these work? But they've been good. They haven't caused any tummy upset or any issues. Taking during pregnancy for baby's brain development.

The first few bottles of this choline supplement we received did not have a noticeable odor. However, the latest bottle we received had a strong fish odor to it. We returned it and received another one that had the same smell. After reaching out to the company, they replied with “Not to worry, this is completely normal. Choline does have a smell to it and there is nothing wrong with the product. The smell is from the choline bitartrate itself. Some batches will have a stronger odour than others due to lot to lot variability. One of the specifications for release is actually a slightly fishy odour for this product.”The product itself seems good, offering 500mg of choline per serving. If you’re trying to compare this to other choline supplements, make sure you’re looking closely at the labels as a couple of them will list the amount of choline bitartrate, not the actual amount of choline. I appreciate the fact this company is up front with the amount of actual choline and doesn’t contain additional other ingredients such as silica, magnesium steerage, etc. The only other ingredient in this supplement is the vegetable cellulose from the capsule. If it wasn’t for the inconsistent fishy odor, this would be a five star supplement.

I ordered this to supplement my prenatal vitamin (NatureMade DHA) that had literally everything except choline in it. I have no complaints at all, they are easy to swallow, are not too big, and have no odor. I have no way to judge their effectiveness but I have never felt ill or off as a result of taking them so I am pleased.

So I’m almost sure the people who said this doesn’t taste and doesn’t smell are not in my situation but as a pregnant woman my sense of smell is more sensitive. With that being said, it does have a fishy smell and the flavor is not pleasant, compared to the other brand I was taken this one smells a lot. However, it’s doing its job, I don’t feel criminally exhausted and I’m hoping this is doing its job providing me with enough nutrients for me and baby’s development. But I don’t think I’ll get this brand again just for my sake of smell aversion and nausea.
