Hit at Christmas
I got this for my six year old granddaughter. It is smaller and not as sturdy as the one I had as a child but it works. She needs help when doing it but I think as she gets older she will be more dexterous. She has been getting these completed like its her job!! So far everyone has been gifted with one but ME!! Hoping I get my potholder soon.

Good price for a good product š
it makes bigger hot pot holders than the other brand I used before, and after it came to my house I put it in a gallon ziplock bag it filled it up,it fits the loom, wasn't stringy and makes good Hot pot holders!šš

Hard to use
The loom is metal and sturdy enough. However it is super hard to get the loops onto the loom. My grand daughter got too frustrated with it.

Loom & tool great. Loops way to taut!!
I used the provided loops once, it came out lumpy and warped, due to the loops being non cotton and synthetic overly tight spandex like material that is hard to get on the loom and shrinks way too much when removed from the loom. I bought separate loops from another company that were cotton they did much better. I even ordered more I was having so much fun. I used this loom ,but had to buy other loops.

This kit is a "mistake"
We bought these kits for our grandchildren (ages 6 to 11) and their friends for a neighborhood art project, what a mess. The problem are the loops. The product description accurately says the loops are made of nylon. Most kits in the past have made their loops out of a "nylon/cotton blend". These nylon loops fit on the loom like a very stiff, heavy-duty rubber band, needing to be stretched over its limit to bridge the gap. It seems like the kit assembly people deliberately (or didn't care) that the loops in the kit do not fit.Our 6 year old group walked away from the project after warping and weaving 6-8 wefts. Our 8 year old group never even finished the warps. The grandmother, a fiber artist and weaver for 50+ years has been cursing these kits for the past week but did manage to get a couple of distorted and misshaped squares out of one of the kits. Something with this much nylon in it probably should not be used as a potholder near hot burners. We are beyond the return window so we can't get our money back though we only spent about $30 for a loom kit with loop refill. Not really worth the needed effort to "chase the pennies". However, we do feel the need to warn others about the obviously fake reviews about this product. It also calls into question other trademarked "Hapinest(tm)" products. Let the buyer beware.Addendum (6 Dec 2022): Knowing what we do about the flammable properties of nylon and the product description as a āPotholders Weaving Loom Kit Arts and Crafts Kids Girls and Boys ages 6 ⦠13 Years Old and Upā and a āPotholder Weaving Refill Pack for Kidsā we got curious about how this product behaved near heat. We took a loop and placed it over a burner on our stove. It was a good thing we held the loop with a pair of metal cooking tongs. The loop immediately burst into flames, disintegrated, contracted and emitted noxious black smoke; all characteristics of nylon fabric.I rechecked my order from Amazon, and while there is a warning about small parts being a choking hazard, there are no warnings about these āpotholdersā being potentially flammable. I also checked out this Loom Kit on the HapiNest(tm) website and there are no warnings or warranties regarding this hazard there. We are reporting this problem as a āno warningā hazard to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, HapiNest(tm) and Island Genius(tm), the parent company of HapiNest(tm). Official complaints about similar products in the past have been responded to with warnings, precautionary instructions and due diligence.

Nostalgic fun!
I bought this as a present for a crafty 10 year old girl. Well... the WHOLE FAMILY loved it (including her anesthesiologist dad š¤£)!! Her mother said that she was ordering more sets for everyone in the family (even Grandma!!) It works like it should and is a decent value for the money. It included more of the cotton bands than some of the other kits. More of the cotton "bands" are available for purchase and I included an extra bag with her gift. I remember having and loving one of these looms as a kid! Glad I could pass-on the love! :)
