These swabs a very sturdy and are easy to handle. They are a nice length for most projects and the shafts are very strong and do not bend.I will say that the heads are not as absorbent as they could be, but they will work fairly well for most needs. My only real problem with this item it that one does not really need to have to order a 500 swab bundle. It would be nice if they were sold in various sized groupings (50, 100, 150, 200).I use these swabs to clean computers and related hardware and all types of firearms. They work well for these uses. I am sure they will also work well for other things. Buy these, you won't be disappointed.

Sturdy bamboo sticks with nicely shaped firm cotton tips tapered to a nice point. I’m using the bare bamboo ends as stir sticks for air brush paint followed by the cotton end for airbrush cleanup.

I’ve used these to clean everything from guitars to hard to reach places in humidifiers. They hold up very well!

These were recommended by Adam Savage on Tested. I like them so much better for cleaning than using the wooden stick swabs that break all the time. These are great from cleaning electronics and in the nooks and crannies around a laser tube.
