Simple, durable, easy for my 2YO to use. Get rechargable AAAs.
Great simple RC truck for my 2YO son, who loves trucks. This is simple enough for him to use. He doesn't use the reverse function much, he prefers to run after it and turn it and then send it on it's way. The reverse has a cam system that makes it turn (like a 3-point-turn) but it only turns very slightly on carpet. On wood/tile, it makes great turns. Again not a big deal since my son runs after it and turns it by hand anyway. I do wish the second button was just a rotate (a long time ago my daughter had an RC truck that one button just rotated in place, really easy to use) but I can't seem to find anything like that anymore.I recommend getting some rechargeable AAAs for the truck. We've had it a month and I've replaced the 4 AAAs in the truck at least 3x times. My son knows to turn the switch on, but never thinks to turn it off! The remote takes 2, and I've never had to replace them even though it's been left on much of the time. If you're ever not sure which of the 2 pieces has dead batteries--the truck will flash headlights when you turn the switch on. If you don't see that, the truck is dead. There's not a ton of power here--if you put something like a ball or a cup of water inside, it will go pretty slow. But hey it's a pretty durable and affordable truck that survives the abuse of a toddler. A great deal all around.

the perfect gift for a 3 years old boy!
I ordered this dump truck along with the wheel-loader version as a gift for my 3 years old nephew, and it was love at first drive. trucks look great in the package, and are easy enough to take out. I wished they included batteries so that would be my only "negative" comment, but it was quick to install and start driving. I was surprised how fast this truck is! But my nephew figured out how to control it after just 2-3 minutes. controls are standard for this type of RC - need to drive backward to turn - but doesn't seem to limit his control. the truck bed is a great feature - he loves putting stuff and hauling it around... and once arriving where he wanted, he tilts the bed backward to dump it! A great toy at great value.

Drains batteries so fast and won't go in reverse
Such a cute truck but very disappointed in how fast the batteries drain. Unfortunately after changing the batteries it no longer goes in reverse which means you have to pick it up and reposition it everytime it gets to a wall or toy.

My son loves this truck!
The media could not be loaded. My son absolutely loves this little truck. He spends so much time putting different toys in the back and moving them around the house. We haven’t yet taken it outside, but we do plan to! It seems durable enough.Pros: Good size- not too big or too small. The remote also stores away in the bucket of the truck, which is nice. It was easy to figure out how to drive and battery installation was a breeze, even with a toddler looming over my shoulder waiting (lol).Cons: The truck is kind of noisy for inside play. It’s not terrible, but it’s louder than other drivable trucks/cars that we have. As someone else mentioned, it’s also a battery guzzler. I bought rechargeable batteries and that was a big help because we are replacing the batteries in both the truck and controller regularly. Lastly, the remote is almost perfectly circular, which makes it hard for little ones to figure out which side is “up”. Luckily, my son knows his shapes, so we tell him which shape button to push when his truck gets stuck.Overall, I would definitely recommend this truck! But especially if gifting, buy rechargeable batteries!

Super cute toy!
My nephew loves excavators so I got this for him to enjoy. This is the cutest toy! The remote can be stored on the back of it. It looks like a tire in the back of the toy. It is so easily driven. He is 3 and had no problems with it. This is a great toy!

Stopped working 2 days after gifted!
This is such a cute remote control vehicle for a little one that loves construction vehicles! Was very excited for my child to receive for Christmas. After using the vehicle for 2 days, it stopped working. The remote no longer works and the lights just flash on the vehicle. I’ve changed batteries, I’ve turned it off and on, even tried holding buttons like I read on Amazon to help fix it. No fix, totally broken and a very sad child! As adorable as this toy is, not worth the purchase to have a sad child.
