Works well, dose what it needs to do

This is not bluetooth! Despite the product saying it, CT007X is not a bluetooth scanner, it is just 2.4GHz and requires there dongle.

My unit apparently has a defective internal lithium ion battery because after days of attempts to charge it, the red led would not go out, and the battery would not respond to a "3 second hold trigger ON" signal. When the hard usb cable was plugged in, everything was fine and I like the unit. I was about to tear into it to test the internal battery thinking I maybe could fix it because I wanted to be able to use the usb dongle for "walking around" scans. I thought better of it and decided instead to hook up a small usb charging/remote battery pack that I had picked up at Costco for about $30. That battery pack is the size of my android phone. Voila! Both the usb pack for powering the device and the wireless dongle were compatible, so at least I can now "walk around" with the device. I am disappointed in getting a defective unit, but at least I found a work-around to it and I won't have to go through the hoops of returning or exchanging it.

I've ordered two and had one for a few month with no issues. It's plug and play, I switch the first one between computers often but buying another was a better solution for my situation.Great price for a great product!

Have purchased about 3 of these on separate occasions. They just don't last, you are pretty much only allowed a couple of accidental drops before they stop working. We use them at our retail stores so it's not like they are being used in an industrial environment. I would understand if they break under those circumstances, but not basic retail.Apart from that, they scan quick, accurate, and with good range. It's a shame they don't last more than a month or two.

this is a cheap soultion for an expensive product we got 2 and they work flawlessly great deal for our high volume hobby store (shadow Hobbies)with 15,000 skews

Worked right out of the box. Opened Excel, clicked on an empty cell, scanned a bardcode and the result populated in the cell. It worked with other applications such as Word and an internal messaging app. Note that this may not be able to read barcodes from LCD monitors, but that is irrelevant for my use.
