The Fitbit Charge HR was perfect for what I needed at the time
Let me just start off by saying that I have been using the Fitbit Blaze every day for about six months now. I was first introduced to the Fitbit brand two years ago when I was gifted a Fitbit Charge HR. At the time, I was more interested in the device for the tech itself than the fitness aspect. However, once I started getting serious about my fitness I decided to upgrade to a Fitbit Blaze and I’ve never looked back. The Fitbit Charge HR was perfect for what I needed at the time, but with the introduction of weight lifting and more intensive cardio I knew that if I wanted to stay on target with my workouts I would need more data. Data that the Fitbit Blaze could provide. A more accurate heart rate monitor, personalized workouts, and individualized workout categories were just a handful of the new features I acquired when I made my upgrade. One of the best things about the Fitbit Blaze and a major selling point to consumers is the battery life. Unlike the Apple watch that needs to be charged daily, the Fitbit Blaze has a battery life of four to five days depending on usage. With the ability to be stretched to six days with some setting changes. The long battery life plus a charge time of thirty to forty-five minutes means less downtime for you and your device. The Blaze has some amazing features built into the design. Fitbit is continuously updating the operating system while introducing new features on a frequent basis. One of my favorite features is the FitStar workouts. They are short workouts usually between seven and ten minutes that can be done from home with minimal equipment required. The watch will show you step by step instructions on how to do each workout and will automatically run the clock for you. This is useful since it lets you know when to take a break, when to start a new set and when you’ve completed your workout. This feature is great if you need to get in a quick workout. The FitStar has warm-up routines, ab exercises and basic beginner’s workout guide. All of which I have tried and enjoy. However, there is one drawback to the Fitbit Blazes design, and that is the charging process. Unfortunately to charge the devise you must remove it from the watch band and drop it into a charging port. The charging port itself is made from cheap plastic and is easy to break if you’re not careful. Trust me on this. The first few times I had to charge my device it was a battle getting it out of the band and popping it back into place after charging. Now after doing it about a hundred times it’s significantly easier. They do have aftermarket chargers that do not require the removal of the devise if that is the way you wish to go.Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The Fitbit Blaze can do everything it was designed to do and so much more. With so many customizable bands it’s perfect for the gym and perfect for everyday wear. With the addition of an aftermarket band you can even class it up and wear it to any formal event if desired. With a price of only two hundred dollars it is one of the cheapest smart watches on the market today. I would give this product a 9/10 and highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to get serious about their fitness. If you want a Fitbit but not sure the Blaze is a right fit for you I encourage you to check out their website. They have many other models to choose from

Great product, FitBit!
If you're a fan of the Fitbit app and products, you'll love the Blaze. I've now had my Blaze for 4 days.FIT: I have a smaller wrist size (I can wear the small-sized band on one of the larger settings, OR I can wear the large band on the tightest setting. Both work.) and the screen is NOT too big. The way Fitbit designed the watch keeps the profile low and the wear is comfortable. Let's face it: this is a smart watch, which means you won't have the beauty of an expensive watch devoted to solely keeping time. However, if you're going to wear a watch, it might as well be smart and track your fitness, right? ;)SCREEN: The high-quality screen is impressive and easily viewable in daylight and indoors. THIS MATTERS. I previously had a vivoactive and returned it because I could not read the screen in ambient light conditions. It was horrible. I was thrilled to turn on my Blaze and discover a screen that was aesthetically pleasing, COLORFUL, and very easy to see. HUGE BONUS POINT here.APP: If you've never owned a Fitbit before, the app is one of the major reasons for getting a Fitbit. It is consistently scored as one of the best fitness apps on the market. You can track every stat you want to track in a eye-pleasing layout. For instance, I track weight (I also have the Aria scale by Fitbit), exercise and steps, food/calories, sleep and now my heart rate. Put together and you can easily get a good look into your fitness.USE: My first thought was that I now "feel like I have my app on my wrist." I honestly wondered how much I would use this fancy smart watch and was it worth the extra money. Now having used the watch, I can attest that it's a great tracker--especially for exercise. If you just want to count steps, then go with the new Fitbit Alta or the Fitbit Flex. The Fitbit Alta will probably be a great fit for many and it's smaller. If you do different forms of exercise (treadmill, weights, running, elliptical, etc.), then this watch IS very useful. Specifically, the heart rate monitor is one of it's best features. For instance, I normally don't use a heart rate monitor when working out. Now that I have a HR monitor with the Blaze, I can see how hard I'm working (Think: Orange Theory Fitness on your own!). The other night I felt exhausted on the treadmill as I hit the normally speed I run (Slllooowww). I reached to turn down the speed to something even more turtle-like, and realized that my heart rate was staying low and only at the rate I normally have for walking. Instead of slowing down, I sped up and increased my intensity, and sure enough, I discovered that my body had a lot more energy to give! That heart rate feature is fantastic for judging workout intensity.FitStar: I have not subscribed to FitStar yet, but the watch comes with 3 general workouts (warmup, 7-min workout, 10-min abs). First you're shown a drawing/figure/animation completing the exercise, the watch buzzes, and then you have 30-seconds to complete the exercise until the watch buzzes again. These non-screen clues are excellent for keeping momentum going.I could easily discuss each feature. This is a well-made watch and seems to be the ultimate for Fitbit. If you like gadgets like I do, you'll have some fun with your watch AND realize it's time to go for a walk or run every time you look at it. :) Enjoy, Fitbit Community!
