Quite robust, easy to use with great results 🌟
I’d been looking for a nice gold paint and have had no luck so thought I’d try gold leaf instead. Although arty I’ve never gilded before so did a little research and found this pack of imitation gold leaf to get me started.First off this is really cheap for what you’re getting so it starts out on great value for money but it’s only worth it if it’s any good! And is it? Yeah it is. Before embarking on my larger project I tried a test piece on some matte paint. I decided to challenge this and do a small intricate pattern and see how it coped.I had expected the gold sheets to be so delicate I could not pick them up but they are actually quite robust and I was able to tear a small piece off for my test. I lay it flat on the surface of my metal leaf size acrylic adhesive, took a clean dry brush and stroked it over the gold leaf. It took a little bit of brushing to get it to lift but it started to lift away where the adhesive wasn’t and I could see my shape forming. Results in photos so you can see for yourself, I took a photo under different lighting (LED) to show the gold leaf at its best.Very happy with my test results I have a large project to work on so I will definitely be purchasing more.

Used it as background for a painting with acrylic paint and glossed it afterwards look very good not brassy

This was bought for some mixed media art, backing some scratched Polaroids. Easy to use, good effect and an excellent price.

Amazing
The media could not be loaded. I've used gold leaf before and it's been too flaky but this stuff was fab. Yeah you still get the flake look but you are more in control.Can't believe how many sheets you get for the money. Will definitely be ordering more once these run out

Much bigger than expected, great value, easy to use.

Very difficult to work with.
Maybe with lots of practice (and wastage) I would get better at using this stuff, but I found it very tricky to use. I eventually chose gold paint instead.
