Genuine Fred CAKEWICH Baking Mold, brown

The mold was perfect for my toast cake. I would recommend this product if your are making either a sandwich or even a toast cake

Rarely do I write reviews, but had so much fun baking a birthday cake using this product. Easy to clean, instructions included were helpful, great for novice bakers.The only downside which I'd give this a 4.5 star review is the recipe included didn't bake as quickly as It was written. That could entirely be my fault, but after letting it bake longer and a little higher temp the "bread slice" layers came out so well. Overall, if you want to spend a little $ to make a unique cake that requires little effort, consider this mold!

We loved the results from the Cakewich mold. The shape was perfect, and using the mold instead of cutting a square cake to look like break provided the browned crust, with no need to paint it. Also, the recipe that comes with the mold is ideal for this use. A fluffier standard cake recipe would be too flexible and delicate for our use. As you can see in the pictures, parts of the cake are not fully supported. The provided recipe yielded a firm but moist cake. It was also delicious, with either vanilla or almond flavoring.

I ended up returning this as it was a larger mold than I was looking for. However, it appeared to be good quality. So if you’re looking for a mold larger than actual size, this will work great.
