This is the most perfect gift to present to your toddler as a busy toy... the sorting and lacing and other toddler pretending things that they will do!I am so excited to give them to my little girl!She loves to play with my button collection and I am always frightened that she or her little friends will swallow small pieces.The buttons are about the size of the lid on a spice jar from the grocery store.I have placed them in an old plastic jar with a screw lid.She is going to love sorting them by shape, the wide assortment of shapes in the bunch is wonderful.Then by color; the colors are very bright and pleasing to the eye.And then by which are her favorite... this is going to be a tough choice.For crafters I feel these would be a great addition to sewing projects for children, eyes for pumpkins, bold necklaces, really anything you can imagine that might need a large touch.Overall very pleased and will probably purchase again as future gifts for other 2-4 year olds!

I purchased these to use for play & teaching with my 20 month old granddaughter. I try to have fun, educational & motor skills activities for us to do during the day & thought these Really Big Buttons would provide some excellent opportunities & be safer due to the large size.I was very pleased with the vibrant colors & the variety of the shapes in my package. I realized there was a good chance I would get more of one color &/or shape than others but that’s with any package of multiple items such as these. Unless you buy the colors & shapes yourself & divide them equally, you’re going to receive an uneven mix when you purchase a package like this!We have used these for several educational activities & just to play with. My granddaughter likes them, I like them & they’re made in the USA - Winning all around!!

After checking out other products, I am glad I purchased this one. The quality and variety is good. I like that the buttons are a good size for my toddler to use for activities

These buttons are very well made and the ideal size for tiny fingers to play with. However, despite the size of the buttons they are potential choking hazards so young children should be supervised. The colors are brilliant and I really like that they did not have that awful "cheap, toxic plastic" smell like some other plastic products intended for children. The seller states the buttons are great for "stringing, sorting, gluing or counting!" I find the holes are too small for toddlers to string. An older child may be able to string them by using dental tape or some equally thin thread. The buttons come in various shapes which makes them perfect for teaching children shapes. They are also not overly chunky which will assist in fine motor skill development. I do not find them ideal for sorting activities because as the seller stated in its product description, "Shapes and colors may vary". The shapes and colors vary A LOT!! The vary so much sorting will be difficult. In some instances all the shapes may be represented in a particular colour but you end up with one red triangle, no blue triangles and six red and so on. I am actually going to buy a second pack to try to get enough to do the sorting activities I bought them for in the first place. Hopefully I will find enough of each colour and shape to great a decent sorting activity.

I like crafty and duel purpose items.I was looking for buttons that we could use for multiple things. I wanted large buttons for tiny hands so we could do threading, sticking crafts, counting games, learning shapes and color games, and anything else we could think of (at one point they were pretend food for the dolls)This was a lovely sized bag of buttons. the buttons were solid and not easy to bend.We have had them a while now and although we have lost some as we used them for sticking on paper, we still have loads left. When we doing threading / lacing with them I just unlace them once the kids are done playing so we can reuse them.There are no laces included with the buttons, you have to buy them separately.

These are great buttons for young kids. I got them when my son was about 1yo - they are just about the size of his palm (at that time). I had no worries that he was going to somehow swallow one (I never left him alone with them just in case - but at worst, if he really really put some effort into it - he may have gotten on lodged in his mouth...which would defintiely take some time to get it in there!). Some shapes had nubs on the sides (from the molding process) - specifically the squares - and I would've liked a more even spread of colors (I got a ton of pink ones, and almost no blue or green ones). But still - great buttons - and it's hard to find buttons this size, so I was happy to find them here.

This product exceeded my expectations. They are made in the USA!! They are an awesome tool to use to teach toddlers colors and shapes. They are very large.

Our daughter started showing a fascination with buttons around 8 or 9 months old (her first word was actually button.) I wanted to get her some buttons she could play with that wouldn't be a choking hazard. I purchased these, and she LOVES them! She's just over a year old now, and they are still one of her favorite things to play with. We keep them in a tupperware container which she loves shaking around, opening and dumping all the buttons out, spreading the buttons around and checking out the different colors and shapes, etc. I haven't sewn them to anything yet, but I keep telling myself I'm going to. Either way, these are awesome and were money well spent in my book!
