Solid battery for the 2009 Harley Sportster XL1200C. A good buy at $83 to $89 or so.
I installed this battery about 2 weeks ago to replace the original HD battery in my 2009 Sportster XL1200C. The old battery was working ok, but would stumble or pause half the time on the first start of the day.I cleaned up the battery terminals a bit, applied a very thin coating of anti corrosion grease to the terminals and battery posts, and installed the Yuasa GYZ.After that, no more pauses and the engine fires right up immediately . I like how the GYZ has a higher Cold Cranking Amp capacity as well as being a more powerful battery at 16AH verses the stock Harley battery of only 10 to 12 AH.I will update this review after winter and start riding again to inform how it kept over winter on a battery maintainer at cold garage temperatures.

Dead less than 2 months. No returns.
Unit failed 38 days after install. Had it checked by the local auto shop. Battery has a dead cell.Tried contacting the vendor with no response. Contacted Yuasa support directly and they can’t help.So now I have a nice $120 paper weight.

Great, except…
This battery was supposed to be a direct replacement for the factory battery. And, for the most part, it is. It fit the formed battery compartment of my Honda Pioneer 1000-5 like a glove. However, the positive/negative terminals are reversed from the original. Problem is I didn’t have enough positive cable length to reach the new position. Luckily, I had some left over cable and connectors from a previous project and was able to hook it up. Not ideal, but it works. The battery has plenty of cranking power and I now realize the original battery was pretty weak when I bought it used. I didn’t know any better at the time. So, other than the terminals being reversed, it’s a great little battery.

Great Customer Service!
I bought this battery a few months ago and installed it in my 4-wheeler. It never seemed to keep a charge. I don't ride it that much, so it would sit for a few weeks. Every time I tried to crack the quad, it was dead. I'd charge and repeat. Anyway, I had this same battery that came from the dealer and it lasted 5+ years with absolutely no issues. That's exactly why I replaced it with the same battery. I contacted the dealer that I bought it from on Amazon and they immediately sent a return label and started the issuing of a refund. They said they hardly ever have issues with this battery. So, hopefully they can figure it out. But to be honest, I thought they would just say Sorry...no refund or replacement. But they offered both. Customer service is rare these days, so I wanted to let everyone know that this dealer will make it right if you have any issues. And for that, I am thankful!

Failed after less than 1 month
I received this battery on May 1 and installed within a week. After fully charging it seemed to work well, but only rode a few times due to weather. Now less than 30 days later the battery will not hold a charge. Removed from the bike after recharging and starting the bike once. Took the battery to be tested and the results show 11.83V and 11CCA with a recommendation to REPLACE BATTERY. Can't find a way to return because it's after 30 days....Manufacturers web site says warranty service/replacement should be handled through the dealer. Amazon seems to provide no means to request any service/replacement. Am I out $100 on a battery that lasted less than 30 days? I hope not......I have updated this review after finally figuring out how to contact Amazon Customer service. They have remedied the situation. I changed to 2 stars since I can only assume that I just received a faulty battery. Still not a great experience, since I did receive a dud, but I understand that it may just have been bad luck. I may choose to purchase a replacement locally since I really don't want to have to go through this process again!

HD 48 sporter 2013
After a month of receiving the battery, I finally had time to install it, I was afraid that the motorcycle would not start, but my surprise was greater when it started without any problem. the installation was in less than 10 minutes, very easy. I have a Harley Davidson 48 year 2013. I hope it lasts much longer than the original one that was 5 years 9 months .Thanks

It went bad 2 weeks after the warranty was over.
Even though this battery is better than the OEM for a 2017 sportster, it literally died 2 weeks after the return period. It was (since day one) hook to a digital trickle charger (2 amp) and was used every other weekend. All of the sudden, if I use my phone charger or my Led's, the bike will start sputtering.Don't use the charger or Led's, all will go back to normal. Also, on cold starts, it will take like 5 to 8 seconds to start.I DO NOT recommend.
