I’ve had lots of mats to go with all the different exercise programs I’ve been into at one time or another. I recently got into Pilates and I was using my Lululemon yoga mat- which I do not recommend for Pilates! I really hurt my tailbone and it was rubbed raw. Ordered this and I no longer have to put a pad under my tail bone when doing abs! I love the length and the thickness is just right. Worth every penny.

If you are doing more advanced Pilates on a hard floor then this is a wonderful mat!! I wish it wasn't so expensive. I tried the much thinner (much less expensive) Merrithew Eco mat but this one is just much better for Pilates.I can't speak to durability because I haven't had it too long, but I'm impressed that the cushioning is firm yet not too squishy like some cheap mats. Also it doesn't stretch as you move like other cheap thick mats do. So I wish it was cheaper, but I think you get what you pay for here. It feels like the mats in professional Pilates studios.So far feels like a huge improvement for my Pilates practice, which I love doing daily.

I started doing pilates a few months ago and I was experiencing frequent discomfort in my hips, due to the side lying positions that are common in pilates classes. My gym has thick exercise mats, not thin yoga style mats. But my hips still really bothered me, so I went looking for a thicker, denser mat. This one was highly recommended on many websites and I understand why. It's so well made and has perfect cushioning.

After using a few different mats, I took a chance on this one. My biggest worries: too thin/not comfortable, and the awful chemical smell that most of these have. Often it feels as if you entered a chemical factory--especially bad if doing yoga with your face right on the mat. GOOD NEWS: this mat had no smell. Can use it out of the bag. Worth buying. TIP: Get a thick one!

I received the version of this that had the Merrithew Logo, not the one with the Stott Logo. I understand the are the same company but it can be confusing to receive a product that looks different than the images. I have to assume the mats are identical otherwise...The mat is thick and seems to be a great quality. I've been happy to use it!

I bought this mat in 2017 because I wanted a cushy pad on my hardwood floor for planks, crunches, all fours work, etc. I winced a bit at the price, but I couldn't find anything else that appeared to be as thick as this mat but still supportive. Five years later it's still in almost perfect condition and an absolutely essential piece of equipment for me. I do still use an extra pad under my knees for some things and double up one end to raise my hands a bit for push ups and planks (bad wrists). Overall, I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

This is the best mat, it’s worth every penny

Merrithew is the name on mat delivered - ordered Stott Deluxe Matthat was pictured and described online as made by Stott. Also arrived with indentation in the mat. Not worth it for the price! This is an expensive mat and I don't appreciate the false advertising!!!!
