Blackmagic Design V-Mount Battery Plate for URSA CINECAMURVLBATTAD

Solid and simple. It does what a good job without trying to be fancy. There are other cheap plates, but why risk it with such an expensive camera? Goes on easy and fits like a glove. There may be other ones with more outputs - but if you just need a single dtap out - this is all you need.

Same as headline, great reliable unit for V-mount batteries to the Ursa Mini.

Good quality. Only suuuuper annoying thing is the cable you plug into the URSA on the back of the plate. Cable is just to damn thick and unmaliable or adjustable to easily fit into the designated cable space on the URSA. That being said it still works fine but takes a bunch of finessing and patience to properly tuck the tough cable in the groove, line up and screw the plate down. Example: you finally shove the cable in the groove and have the v mount plate (and gasket) flush on the camera, move your hand at all and the tough cable will push the plate up and mess up your alignment which if not careful could lead to cross threading (threads on the plate screws a very fine and require a super small Phillips head). Again, not impossible but rather poorly designed for a pricey plate.

Has a Dtap .. at the bottom right and fits perfectly on the camera... comes with a rubber like gasket the goes in between the plate and the camera ...Wiring plugs right in...

Set up is super easy, and although the rubber palette is a bit difficult to work with as it's loose, once secured that baby is on there.

I have a BM Ursa Cinema camera, so a V-Mount battery is a must and I prefer having it attached to the camera body since it allows for a quick on the go work flow. This is high quality for the cost, as all BM equipment is, but I had to do a fair amount of searching to find exactly how to put this on, and then I had to order screws because they either wern't included or were missing from mine.I'm handy enough that I was able to do this installation with little assistance and it works well. I like the modular nature. I understand there are other off-brand competitors and can't speak to how this compares--but since the price difference was negligable, this was the right selection for me.
