... for the SNES back when it came packaged with Super Mario World and loved it
I had this game for the SNES back when it came packaged with Super Mario World and loved it. I played that game up until my system mysteriously disappeared a few years ago and have been missing it ever since. My 10 year old son got a Toys R Us gift card for Christmas and I could not convince him to spend it on this game so I bought it for myself and he now desperately wants to play. Mission accomplished. What's different? Not much. The graphics have been updated somewhat but the games are still the same. My cartridge version had a little trick where you could hit the select button while playing Mario 3 and shuffle between all the different costumes and essentially never die on a level. My cousins had the exact same game and the select trick didn't work for them so I have no idea if I was somehow special or what (too lazy to go Google) and it definitely isn't built into this one.If you liked the original, go get this.

Nostalgia at its core...
If you're a kid that grew up in the 80s/90s, this will certainly bring you right back in time! I love that Nintendo packaged this to include all the SMB games + the lost levels. I haven't played the lost levels yet as I'm still trying to remember how to play all them original classics - this is what happens when you have aged and trying to go down memory lane. ~_~ I'm not surprise by the graphics of its day compared to the games of when Wii was created and now - of course, be prepared to hear some mockery from the Millennials who's eyes have been seen anything but blu-ray and above quality. LOL!Even though you don't need a classic controller to play this game, I would highly recommend it as the basic Wii remote is just CRAP to play with on this particular game. Your frustration levels will ignite exponentially as I experienced (I ended up scouring the internet for the classic controller and was lucky to find one in pretty good condition refurbished). My 7yr old daughter and her friends made some attempts with this old classic game and found it incredibly challenging and the graphics abysmal. Go figure. =pAnyone who miss the old days before the internet and social media, this one is definitely something to add to your collection of nostalgia.... <^.^>

Great game. Interesting backgrounds.
It took about 5-10 minutes to figure out how to select a game (on my joystick I ended up having to push the + button).Once I figured that out I had so much fun reliving my childhood while playing the games. The background is different than the 80s version of Super Mario Brothers. Very interesting, it was almost distracting. There were subtle differences but they were well received.

The game works perfectly I 100% suggest to purchase!!
YES YES YES BUY IT!! I love it!! It even came a day early from what the expected delivery day was. Its got all 3 Mario Bros game!! Even a lost levels game. If your looking for a happy time piece of your pass/childhood. Then this is it!! I even bought a pair of the classic controller for wii so I wouldn't have to play with them stupid nunchuck controller. They were a generic brand but they worked just as good to play the game with a two handed controller 🎮 like this. But as for the game perfect condition works perfectly no issue. Only thing was when I put the disc in before it could read the disc it made me do a software update to my system. Idk what that was about or if it was just my system. But after the update the game loaded right up!! And it felt like I was 10 years old again!! .lol 🤗🤗🤗

Great game - just not as good as I remembered
this is a fun game - not as fun as it was when I was young; but what ever is?works well; only thing was that it has a 'save' function available to select when you run out of lives but it actually doesn't save a darn thing. :( you still have to start over at the beginning of whatever world you were on depending on which game your playing. Other than that I enjoyed having access to pieces of this game that I previously hadn't played when I was young; the lost levels. Fun for a nostalgic moment but my kids couldn't hold their interest in this game for more than an hour. without the save ability they were frustrated that you had to go all the way back to the beginning since they are used to games these days with more options than that.

Gift for child
So my 10 year old saved his money for a gaming console. Did he get the latest, greatest thing? No. He bought a used Nintendo Wii. That's just the kind of guy he is, I guess. People have described him as an "old soul," which I think is a stupid thing to call someone, but he really is into old things. Like classic rock and whatnot. So I guess this shouldn't surprise me.Anyway, his birthday is tomorrow, so he hasn't opened this yet. It's new, so I'm not expecting any problems. That's the extent of what I can tell you right now.

It's fun to play
I think that this is a great buy! It has some of my favorite childhood games with it. My daughter and I really had a good time playing these when we first got it. I wasn't sure how using a Wii controller would be for these games, but I think it works pretty well.

Great for all ages.
My son is in love with Mario. That is all he wants to play. So when I saw this I knew instantly I had to get it. It is a really great game. It has the same graphics as when I was a kid. That is the only thing I would change about this. Just to update the graphics. But he loves this game so so much. He is 5 and he is very smart and a great at this game. I would suggest kids a little older to play this game. But he really enjoys it.
