EXCELLENT item. Works well with Camelbak hoses!!
GREAT item. Fits my two CamelBak hydration bladders just fine. You have to cut a 37mm piece of hose off the end to mount the female end to the bladder. Then, the male part connects to the long hose. Soaking the end of the hose in hot water for 10-15 seconds will aid in the hose slipping over the long ends of these quick releases.

Perfect!
This is the perfect quick connect solution for any water system. Fits my Osprey Gravity Works perfect so I can swap in or out the carbon filter as needed for the quality of water source I find. Doesn't leak when not connected either!

Work great under pressure and suction.
Using these in a pump powered water system. Theyre being used on both sides of the pump. The pump is a diaphragm style. It's pulling water from a lake. The water is sucked up to the pump through 10ft of hose with a 6 foot rise.It is then pumped 75 feet through 1/4" hose. The height that the water exits is about 20 feet above the pump. Fluid flow is .5gallons a minute.Idk what this works out to for overall pressure in the lines but it's certainly way more than I would expect a gravity feed coupler to be able to handle. You can't beat these for the price.

good product for the price
Quick Connect works great and easy to use. Just determine where you want to place the coupler on your hose and cut and splice. Connector works great.

Auto shut-off and easy release work flawlessly
If you're looking to make your own hydration system for hiking, biking or whatever then it's a no-brainer: get these quick connects now. These are fairly priced (being the *only* ones I could find) that are designed of 1/4" tubing with auto shut-off and quick release. I use them to connect my hydration flask to the drink-tube. This allows me to easily remove the flask lid for refill without spillage. The auto shut-off is essential as is the quick/easy release. Ideal.

Odd use, but it's excellent price and performance.
Pretty good design for the price.Compared to alternatives...- Cheaper sets with no stop valve in the female end cost twice the price.- Size is much smaller than alternatives.- Nice and rounded plastic edges, no snags.- Barbed ends fit right into standard surgical tubing, no hose clamp needed, and they'll stay put unless you twist it off.- Color scheme makes button stand out.I'm sure it's great for the intended use, but I had a parent put on a Foley cath. Weak hand strength made the plastic fittings unreliable so this was a perfect mod for changing from 1l day bag to 2l night bag and back each day.Female ends go on the bag so it's water tight when disconnected. Male goes on the Foley outlet. Bright green button handy for visually impaired or if the eye glasses are off for bedtime.Medical sales has similar functioning disconnect pairs for $22 each and these were $8 for 2. Plus those were squared off edges and all white. Many were blocky and would snag clothing and certainly not feel great against the skin.Mazama needs to tap that medical device market. Uro nurses were profoundly amazed at the ease of use and comfort features so there may be a bump in sales... I'll take my commission annually please. ;)Note for anyone recreating this use: Clear plastic 1/4" ID tubing needed some T-tape to get a snug, reliable fit. But the rubber tubing goes on easy and grips the barbs well with no clamp. For any use in a pressurized liquid system you'd need a hose clamp.

So far they don't leak on a low-pressure spray line
I'm using this as a quick-disconnect for a sprayer line on a garden-pump sprayer maintaining less than 20psi. So far, they don't leak and make disconnecting/swapping lines really easy for what I'm using it for.

Not the right size
It is 1/4 inch not 5/16Unfortunately I waited too long to finally install it and can't return it now but despite saying it fits Universal bladder hoses or even having the option to choose that wasn't the case. There was no size option and what was sent is definitely too small to use so it comes absolutely worthless.
