nice gym shorts
I have been looking for a pair of gym shorts with a one inch inseam. These are the ones, just like gym class back in the 60's. They are very short, and you will show off your legs wearing these. But isn't it about time we guys started doing so again. More freedom of movement rather than having all that material hanging down the legs with longer shorts. I also like the split side feature. These compare in quality to other brands, and they are made in America. I have the Soffe and the Pudolla shorts and like them a lot too. They both have a 2.5 inch inseam but these BOA shorts have a one inch inseam. I'm 5'8" and 170 lbs and bought the small. I always buy small (if possible) in running shorts. I could have gone with the medium but opted for the small. The outer shell fits loose enough. They fit good. Not to tight in the waist. Nice stretch to the waist band. I don't understand the tie cord in them. It's a loop rather than string to tie together. I don't need to use it so it's no big deal. So I like everything about these shorts except the liner. I like the way the liner fits, not to tight not to loose. Just enough room to secure my information yet let them be free. It's the color of the liner. I bought the black shorts and it comes with an off white/ borderline gray liner. Kind of ugly. I knew this when I bought them and thought I'd either put up with it or cut it out and wear one of my bikinis, or thongs under them. I wish BOA would use the same color liner as the outer garment. Yet it won't stop me from buying more. I might go for the navy and the red pair. So guys if you don't mind showing your legs off, then these are the shorts for you.

Great shorts well made
Great shorts well made. I gave 4 stars because liner was uncomfortable. I cut it out and there great. No restrictions in movement , after wearing them several times I agree with other reviews they could be shorter, especially in the rear. The back is a bit odd fitting but there plenty short in front. Over all great shorts.

Love my boa running shorts, train in them at the beach and ran a few 10k and half marathons in them

Great fitting shorts
First time purchaser and these are some of the best fitting shorts I've purchased. No binding on the shorts as you move/stretch. Was looking for something at a lower price point, but these caught my eye. Added bonus was Made in USA. Liked them very much and bought a second pair.

Great hot weather shorts... comfortable, cool and very revealing - 1 star off for useless, ugly liner
Great warm/hot weather running shorts if you like a full split. Feels like running naked. Good elastic waistband plus an internal drawstring, which really isn't needed but does no harm. I wear a 29waist (sometimes 28) in most jeans/pants and the size Small fits me perfectly. They are VERY short, visibly shorter than my Game Gear 2.5" split shorts (which are not exactly long)... so they're great for us exhibitionists. If you enjoy people checking out your legs and/or buns, these are for you. At full stride or in a breeze you'll actually show a bit of cheek too.One star deduction for the non-functional and unstylish mesh liner. It's too loose/baggy to support anything, so unless you enjoy having your genitalia flop around you'll be wearing something supportive beneath it. (I wear a thong.) The style police note that the liner is off-white, aka dirty white. When you move, people may see flashes of that. If BOA wanted to include a liner, it should provide some support and be color matched (like the Game Gear liner). I plan to cut mine out, as many reviewers have. BOA could ditch the liner to reduce costs and price and maybe induce more sales.
