Used as a spare in the shower.

This was exactly what I needed and I use it often.My 10lb cat thinks he is a real baby and he constantly wants me to hold him while I work on the computer. He falls asleep on my shoulder, but I have to hold him there with 1 arm.I cannot get any work done this way, so I decided to trick him with this arm sling. I stuffed it with towels to mimic my arm, and he is none the wiser.I throw the strap over my neck, he climbs in and I have 2 free hands now to work on the computer while Winklebean sleeps like the little baby that he is.We all win with the Mueller Arm Sling.

Pros: It's an arm sling, therefore it does its basic job. Materials appear to be sturdy.Cons: I sprained/cracked my shoulder pretty bad, so I needed something to rest my arm in while I recovered - this seemed to do the trick. However, it's really hard to adjust - it's basically designed more for your left arm, and definitely harder to adjust for a more petite person. Reason being is that the shoulder pad is very hard to "flip" in order to be able to use the sling for your right arm, because for someone as small as me, the velcro has to be all teh way past where the shoulder padding is. So, flipping it takes some real patience in order to use it for one's right arm.

It needs to be longer for long arms. The support straps are made of Velcro which is uncomfortably scratchy at both the upper arm and where the wrist meets the neck. It needs some other type of strap, not Velcro. The current strap does not go short enough.

I bought this hoping to use it until I have surgery to stabilize my shoulder. This was very difficult to adjust and the strap is velcro, which is stiff and uncomfortable.

Nothing wrong with the sling but the strap is way too long for the average American woman. I’m 5’4 and the strap is easily 18 inches too long. The reason this is problematic: the sticky piece of the Velcro is at the very end of the strap so when you put it through the rings on the sling and try to attach it to keep your arm in a 45 degree angle, the sticky piece of Velcro ends up over the shoulder pad to stick. It needs to be much shorter to fit an average size female. I can’t return it, as it’s considered medical equipment. I will have to cut the sticky strip off the end of the current strap, cut the strap 18 inches and try to sew the sticky bit of to the end. PIA!
