Spa at home!
The media could not be loaded. Summary:I was hesitant but so glad I bought this. I’ve been trying to be very mindful of my skin as I approach 50. I’ve noticed large pores and some blackheads on the sides of my nose. This facial steamer puts out quite a punch! The skin care tools provided with it are helpful for extractions too. The steam does get quite hot, but of course, you can get as close or as far from it as you need. The first time I used it, I immediately put on a Dead Sea Pore Refining mask afterwards. The steam opens the pores, so I figured that would be a good way for the mask to really get into the problem areas. The second time, I used my cleanser, then toner, then serum immediately after. It’s important to remember that the steam will open up the pores, so you can take advantage of that by applying a good cleanser or mask after use. While I bought this for actual skin care treatment, I will say that I find it so relaxing to use, so it can definitely be used if you just want to unwind from a long day. Added bonus - you’d be treating your skin at the same time!Color: not really any kind of a deal breaker for me. I do like that you can choose one of a few colors, but I had actually forgotten about that until writing this review anyway. If color matters to you, then just know you can choose yours!Value for money: this is WELL worth the cost.Durability: I haven’t had this long, so I can’t really comment on durability but it does seem to be high quality.Leakage: Be careful when transporting the steamer from one place to another while the reservoir has water in it. It will drip out if tilted. But I wouldn’t call this leakage. When set in place, whether being used or not, there hasn’t been any leakage at all yet.

Very happy
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this unit after trying a different brand that was constantly breaking. After returning 2 units within 2 weeks, I decided to try a different brand. I found the Pure NanoSteamer to have a superior design (specifically with the water tank) over the pink one with the handle which you see sold under several names here on Amazon. This has much less risk of breaking. This has a good size water tank which allows for a much longer steam than other units. It takes about 1 1/2 minutes for the steam to start, and lasts about 20 minutes. The hand towel steamer takes a about a minute longer, if using a wet towel. I did not think I would use the towel steamer, but once I tried it, I love it and use it every day to remove cleanser. The one small negative is the height. It sits too high to use while sitting at my vanity. The steam goes over my head when sitting. It needs to be on a low coffee table, which isn’t practical for daily use. When standing it hits my neck, but I have to bend to hit the face. The solution for me, whether standing or sitting, is to put a towel over head to capture the steam. This makes it very intense steam! I have to come for air a few times, but it feels great. You need a longer towel for this method, the regular hand towel will put you too close to the steam. You don’t want to get burned, so get something bigger. I found that a 20 x 31” Turkish cotton hand towel works perfectly.Regarding essential oils… I believe most manufacturers are saying not to use essential oils, and yet we all want to use essential oils with our steamers. So the following is my opinion only, based on my experience. This is not any sort of recommendation. Ignoring the manufacturer’s recommendations is something you do at your own risk. But I use 5 drops of eucalyptus oil in my steamer. I’ve been doing this twice daily for over 2 months and have not had any issues. I do clean it every week or 2 with a vinegar/water solution to avoid any buildup of the oils.BTW, I have NOT been compensated for this review. I researched and purchased the item I wanted and paid full price.UPDATE:After nearly a year, my NanoSteamer died. It might sound strange, but I bought the same steamer again to replace it. Even though it only lasted about a year, I used it daily, sometimes twice daily. So I got a lot of use out of it. And for the price, I feel like it was a good deal. I did look around some to see if there was anything new out there which I might like better. But the NanoSteamer had the features I want, and I know that it works great. This time I will not use essential oils in the steamer. That may be the reason it eventually stopped working, I don't know. But I found an even better way to use them, without adding them to the steamer. I put just a drop of eucalyptus oil on a cotton pad and, using tweezers so I don't burn my fingers, I hold the cotton into the steam. I get a lot more of the eucalyptus vapor, using just one drop of oil, than I previously did adding 5 drops to the steamer. I think this is a good solution for those like myself who really want or need to use essential oils. The newer model I received also came with some "free" skin care tools. "Free" in quotes, because the price has actually gone up $10 since the last time I purchased. I would have preferred the lower price and skip the tools I won't use. But I'm still very happy with the NanoSteamer and still feel it is the best option out there, unless you want to spend a few hundred $$ for a professional system.

Facial spa at home for fraction of the cost
I absolutely love this NanoSteamer 3-in-1 facial steamer! The nano-ionic steam deeply cleanses my skin, unclogs pores, and leaves my face feeling refreshed. The precise temperature control ensures a spa-like experience at home, and it also works great as a humidifier. The included 5-piece stainless steel skin kit is a great bonus for tackling blackheads. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a professional facial treatment at home!

Long-lasting steam
Pros:Very easy to set up and useSeems sturdyCompact sizeGood amount of steamGoes for 20 min on facial steam settingAuto-shutoff is convenientCons:Bad burnt-plastic odor on first several uses. This has disappated gradually but is still there after 3 uses. I'm hoping it will go away with continued use.Facial steam is too strong/uneven. Humidifier setting is gentler and more consistent.Overall, this device works well, and is more convenient (and safer) than boiling a pot of water on the stove. I'm not planning to use the towel-warmer function as it's easier to just nuke a damp towel in the microwave.Definitely need to use distilled water to prevent mineral build-up.

Steam as HOT as nuclear fusion. awesome.
Amazing. Far better than the vicks inhaler model VIH200. The temperature of the steam on that one is like that of a warm fart. It does nothing to serious sinus congestion. This one has stem so hot, it could split an atom and thats what my sinuses need.

A self-care essential.
This has been one of the best purchases I've made in quite awhile. I've incorporated this into my "self care" routines. I can't speak to the benefits to my face yet, but I can tell you, I feel incredibly relaxed when I take 10 to 15 minutes out of my day to use this steamer. It makes me wish I had a full sauna in my bathroom that I could sneak off to after a long day at work! Until I win the lottery or I receive a large inheritance from a long-lost-relative, this will do the trick.I live in the northern states where winter can be long and brutal, and having this lovely little device to come home to makes getting through the day just a little bit easier. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking to up their self-care game a little bit.
