Just what he needed!

Overall it’s a good and sturdy kit but it would be nice if it came with more brackets and ways of mounting. This was just my own stupidity but I didn’t realize the width of the final set up so I ended up having to cut and re tap some threads on the tyrods to get them to fit.

Disregard the bearings since it doesn't come with a bearing housing but it depends on what you're doing with it. For a rack and pinion conversion from an Ackermann steering, I used 20mm heim joints to hold the top piece of the steering shaft in place.Edit: unfortunately after the install and the first couple test drives the play in the steering is becoming more and more apparent and almost unacceptable.Further edit: there are white plastic bushings between the case and the rods by the steering shaft gear. If the cable ties that hold the boots on come loose, those internal bushings fall out allowing the rack and pinion rods/shafts to wobbled freely in the main case.Additional edit one month later. The above mentioned play in the steering has become so excessive i expect it to be totally unusable in about 2 more weeks. The steering pivot turns about one quarter turn each way before engaging into the rack.

This kit does not come with the tube (or sleeve) which the steering shaft bearings go. I found a bearing pillow mount which worked at rural king though.

For the most part everything will work. The one tie rod rod itself is threaded crooked. And they provide you with bearings and clips but no tube to put them in. What's the point? The ad says for 110cc replacement. Do you know how many 110cc "replacements" there are out there? That's just the size of the engine, not the kart itself. Just would have been nice to have a complete kit to do everything at once. Now I have to chase down parts at hardware stores in hopes of finding something that will take the place of the tube and bearing setup.
