When it absolutely, positively MUST work
The media could not be loaded. When it absolutely, positively MUST workThey say a picture is worth 1000 words, so how much is this video saying? So I pretty much think the video says it all but there may be a couple of questions. The paper is simple laser printer paper and a pen is a Zebra F-701. There’s been comes in some of the crappy us staying on earth but it has the fisher space pen refill inside it and it fits mostly it is a little bit tight so if you widen or snip the silicone collar inside the metal tip of the pen , it’s smooths out quite a bit. The liquid is water despite many of my friends determined to believe it is vodka. I suppose it would work as well but the ink might run a little more. Anyway who’s going to waste that much vodka?I’m actually surprised when I run into somebody who’s never used his space pen at some point in their life. Is the ink the prettiest? No. Does it right the smoothest? No. But does it write where nothing else will write and on what nothing else will write? Absolutely. And actually it writes pretty darn smoothly all things considered. I prefer the medium points for smoothness and line is still quite fine. It uses a ceramic bowl in the point and I think that’s responsible for a smoother flow and smoother writing experience than a steel bearing point is. Some people complain that there’s a little difference between the fine in the medium points and maybe you said but I think they’re really missing the point of this pen.I take them camping and hiking. They write in the rain quite well ( I pair them with the “Rite-In-The-Rain notebook ) You can keep them in your car in the heat isn’t going to destroy them. They’re not going to explode in your pocket and they write a lot better on airplanes than my other pens.In my experience the cartridges last a considerably longer time that other ball points as well. The ink never dries up or evaporates. Being left-handed one tends to smudge over the things they write and this is permanent oil base think that dries very quickly so I usually don’t run into that problem like I can with other ball points and fountain pens.I’ve not been impressed with the actual pen construction that Fisher makes recently but the refills are still solid. They’re not cheap comparatively but they’re still affordable. It is far as I’m concerned it’s twice with a regular refill is but I’d last three times as long so it actually is a better value. And this thing does what no other pen made can do . If this is an a five star product then I don’t know what is.

What colour?
Writes perfectly as all Fisher refills do but I think it’s more red than Burgundy.

Good, reliable work-horse of a pen refill.
I've been using fisher pens for a few years now since I was introduced to them by a colleague at work. My job involves writing in paper notebooks in all sorts of weather conditions - from freezing temperatures, to peeing rain. The way the fisher cartridges are designed means that these write even on wet paper, at any angle, and in the lowest of the low temperatures. And before any smarties-pants suggests I use a pencil - i'm not allowed to!!I initially used these in proper branded fisher barrels, however I have found that I prefer the feel in my hand of some of the parker pen barrels. These cartridges come with a little plastic attachment which means they fit perfectly into the parker pen barrels with no issues. My gripe with the fisher barrels is that they tend to be a bit over-designed - probably in an effort to make them more reminiscent of the space race, often at the expense of writer's comfort! These come in a plastic blister pack, mounted on card, for anyone interested in how these arrive.

Fisher Refill Blue Broad point
Fisher refills are superior to all others. Wish I'd discovered them sooner.

It works at -20C fine.
It worked fine on a winter trip to the Himalayas where temperatures got down to -20C. The pen I use it with has a rubber textured grip, so not a problem to write whilst wearing my gloves. I bought this new to put in my pen, and took the existing cartridge as a spare (I didn't know how much ink was left, and didn't want to risk running out mid-trip). Neither has run out, so I am really impressed with the level of ink, given the small size of the pen. Given the cost, I wouldn't use it for everyday use, but an absolute must for more trying conditions, or when you need a guarantee that the pen will work whatever.

Good for its purpose
Good refill for EDC purpose. This works in Fisher pens AND all pens using Parker style refill. There is plastic spacer with Parkers typical crown in package. When used in place of Parker refill, this makes pen a bit noisy/clicky when texting (raising the pen and lowering it back to paper), as spacer is not fixed to shaft of refill. I glued the spacer firmly in place, as i know that this will not be used in Fisher pens.Writing with this looks like el cheapo ballpoint pen. But that is not the point. It will write in harsh conditions, like cold, when other pens don't work. Not good for writing in comfort of your desk to good paper, there are tons of better solutions for that.
