I bought this product to get some relief from back pain; however, it doesn't get warm even like lukewarm water. I contacted Beurer customer care and they say that "All Beurer heat products conform to stringent safety regulations which regulate the maximum temperature to a level that is beautifully warm but not overly hot." If it doesn't get warm then how will anyone get relief from pain? I thought this is a German company so product must be good. But I feel now that I was wrong. This is a waste of money.

Anyone who suffers from lower back pain will tell you how debilitating it can be. I was in a car accident when I was in my early 20’s and I suffered slipped discs in my lower 3 vertebrae. So badly had the discs slipped, they pushed against my sciatic nerve which prevented me from walking unaided. After several months of physiotherapy, I was ok.Whilst I can run, play tennis and do all of the things I want, it often comes at a price and I often suffer from lower backpain. Heat is a massive help though, and I have been using this device for a while now and I find that it really helps to reduce the pain.This device is really soft to wear, and after a few minutes the device is warm. The device fits well to my medium frame and has heating elements all the way from my lower back all the up to my neck. However, unless you are prepared to wear the neck strap quite tight, your neck wont get the same level of heat that rest of my back gets.The only downside was that the power cord is a little on the short side, and when I use it in the living room I need to use an extension, which is not ideal. However, when I am in my office, I am close enough to the plug socket.There are 3 heat setting which produces varying amounts of heat. I prefer the middle setting, it takes longer for the heat to penetrate my back, but I don’t mind since I am usually sat wearing the device whilst I work. Also there is an automatic 90 minute shut down.My partner also likes using the device, I often found her wearing it before we took our son to his junior football matches and then again when she got back after being frozen on the touchline for the entire game.For medicinal use though it does give my lower back the relief I need to go for a run and participate in various sports.Recommended.

I had an operation on my spine (L4/L5) and still suffer from lower back pain and sciatic pain all down my right leg & foot, together with stiffness in my neck. This is all the result of a serious RTA. I already own a Sweet Dreams heated pillow and also a flat pad, but wanted something that did my back and neck simultaneously.The overall quality of this pad is good, but not the same quality as Sweet Dreams, and it's very soft. The varying heat levels are good, but limited. There's a clip tie that goes around your waist and a velcro one for your neck, both easily adjustable. The cable from plug-2-control unit and control unit-2-pad are both a good length. The pad is washable.Where is fails for me is in two places. Firstly, the pad doesn't reach the base of my back, where the pain is - I'm 5ft10". Which defies the point of this pad design. Secondly, the neck part doesn't heat up as much as the back part, so doesn't deliver the same benefit. These are the key benefits I really needed. Also, I found it uncomfortable around my neck.It's a good, but not great design.Based on this and the fact that it isn't that cheap, it really doesn't deliver what I need.
