Works great
Fit perfectly, no issues at all. Just as good or better than OEM

Construction looks good.
This distrib appears better built than most of the parts store brands. As far as performance, I haven't noticed a difference from my tweaked delco one... Construction looks about the same (a really good thing if you have seen a lot of the aftermarket junk out there) I'm happy with it for now...I just installed today, we will see how it holds up. (I have my old one under the seat just in case. Edit 4/1/2021 module died yesterday...about 5k on it. Coil also died, so it's possible the coil took out the module... liking delco better at this point though. Still, I'll give it another shot...

NICE HARDWARE; SUBPAR ELECTRONICS
Worked for about a week, then when I happend to be about 200 miles from home the ignition control module went out. The hardware on the unit is great but electronics subpar. If I could choose again I'd save the money and buy name brand. If not expect to change the icm a few times which just so happens to cost more than the whole distributor unit itself from your local parts store? ($45) I will be contacting a-team for a refund for parts spent and will update with there answer

Looks great! Failed on a brand new 454 within 1500 miles.
Failed within 1500 miles on a broad new 454. At 1500 miles it started missing at 2000 rpm and up. Pulled the cap & rotor. Black arc & carbon tracks. Replaced cap & rotor with an A/C Delco. It helped but didn't fit the issue. Finally I cleaned up the Stock A/C Delco Distributor that had 225,000 miles on it. Put it in, set timing again, problem solved. You get what you pay for! Shouldn't have bought it till engine was built, notice to try it and still return for a refund. Just tried to get everything together while the motor was at the machine shop being remanufactured.

Trucks runs horribly wrong when cold.
I am a master certified GM technician, worked at the dealership when these GMT-400 trucks were new. This Unit looks nice and performs well except for when it’s cold. Prior to the installation it idled fine but lacked high RPM performance. Now it runs fine, base timing at 0, and The timing is so re-tarded when it’s 30 deg f or Les that it sounds like a pack of firecrackers has been lit in my exhaust pipe. Once it runs for 90 seconds it completely goes away and runs normal. Definitely would not buy again. Have 500 miles on it at this time.
