A Unique, Fun Quadcopter
This unique looking quadcopter flies a little different than other quads, but if you've been flying for a while and want something a little different, this is a good choice. It flies very fast in high rates, but sometimes the yaw seems to turn on its own when you're banking. You can get used to this, though, and become pretty good at flying it. As far as looks, to me, it looks like something out of the Dune series; sort of a wacky, twisted design that the Bene Gesserit would approve of. I don't know that I'd recommend it for a beginner to learn to fly with, but even there you could master it after a while. I attached a tiny FPV camera to mine and tried flying it with goggles, but it was very difficult because the yaw control is different than what I'm used to. Overall, I have to praise Syma for this unique, fun design and somewhat challenging (but not overly difficult) flying characteristics. If you're going to be flying at night, I'd probably get the white version; the black version is difficult to see when it's flying away from you since the red LEDs aren't especially bright.

Fun and fragile
Really enjoy this thing. My kids and I have gone through a number of the small Syma helicopters and had a ball. This is fun because it flies like a drone but reminds me of a helicopter since it has a front and rear, which is helpful for me when controlling it. Only negative is that the cage surrounding the front counter-rotating props is fragile. Mine has already broken in two places. Still, would definitely recommend.

Underpowered and Unpredictable
I wanted to recommend this quadcopter due to it's unique design, but the performance was so unpredictable the highest I could give it was 3 stars. The design is very unusual, two front propellers operate in a coaxial configuration, giving the appearance of a tricopter. It looks amazing in the air, almost like the ship from the new star trek show. The drone has an unfortunate tendency to yaw unpredictably when flying forwards, especially when at speed. This can easily result in a crash. Stability is heavily affected by wind, which isn't unusual for a drone this size that has brushed motors.

This is not most difficult copter i have had. ...
This is not most difficult copter i have had. There is only really 2 speeds, slow and so fast it loses total control. They give you all these options for directional control, all they are to calibrate the thing when it warp speeds into the ceiling after just barely pushing on the rotor speed. Another issue, the calibration takes forever, too many options that a person with out a professional flying license isn't qualified to operate. This is the most complicated copter i have tried. I thought I had flown some poorly made copter before, but after this thing, I don't think they can make anything else more complicated.

Terrible Battery Life
Getting a grand total of 2 minutes flight time per battery. Barely even worth the effort it takes to change the batteries out.

Seems Well-Designed, Unique, and Durable
My son has had a number of RC copters, some quads, over the years. Some have broken very soon, mostly from crashes. Some are hard to control. This one has been great so far. Granted he's only had it a few days, but it does seem to be more durable. It has propeller guards. Has taken a number of crashes with no ill effects. Very easy for him to control. It can fly very fast, forward and backward, can rotate around. It seems like a unique and very fun quad copter for someone looking for something different. Lands pretty well. He's very glad he bought it.

Works great.
Pretty neat drone. Fun to mess around with here and there. The only thing I don't particularly like is that it seems to have a high center of gravity, so it flips upside down if you land a bit too hard. Not a big deal, but does require a lot of walking over to flip it back over, especially while you're learning, so I found myself using my other drones more.Very stable in flight though and the 3D Eversion stuff is neat if you're into that.
