Pennello sintetico morbidissimo

Another of RazoRock's Superior Shave Brushes
I've owned/used many boar and badger, including two silver tip, brushes. RazoRock's Plissoft brushes are excellent performers. I have the company's 24mm/57mm brush, which is another 5-star lather machine; and this brush with its exceptional handle has to be just a tad above the 24/57mm Plissoft only because of the handle; the Big Bruce has a larger knot and higher loft, too. Both these brushes produce superior lather with less effort (mixing) than my best silver tip. The feel of the Big Bruce has a bit more balance than the other Plissoft mentioned, nonetheless, I'd be hard-pressed to choose one over the other. The smaller knot brush is a bit handle heavy, not a bad characteristic, solely an observation; where the balance of this Big Bruce is less weighty in the handle. If one were a head shaver, the larger brush might be preferable. But for face shaving alone, the slightly smaller knot RazoRock Plissoft might have a bit of an edge for controlling lather. Either brush is perfect for wet shaving. After further comparing Big Bruce and the 24mm Plissoft, I've found the BB to be the most comfortable length and density synthetic bristles on my have. The lengthier bristles splay easily deliver the most comfortable feel when applying lather when have or bowl lathering. The Big Bruce, with its exceptional Bruce handle, is a superior shave brush. The larger knot and longer loft take a few uses to get proficient, but when you do it's-- we were playing basketball--nothing but net.

A total surprise.
Part of the reason that I picked up this shaving brush was the price. It was very reasonable and I needed a brush. I was very surprised by the brush. I've used nothing but boar bristle shave brushes. I was under the impression that they were the only brushes that could produce a decent lather. And this a synthetic brush at that. So maybe I had lowered the bar a little bit. The price point was too good. Wow. The brush was firm, no odor, not tangled (and by the way hasn't tangled since I received it), the handle is comfortable to hold wet or dry, and there has been no loss of bristles. Who has not lost two or three bristles a shave? And let's not forget the feel. Talk about luxurious. I still can't get over it. It feels great on my face. For information, I use Williams Mug Shaving Soap pucks. With this brush, I just need to put it into my shaving bowl with hot water for a couple of minutes and then I can whip up a great lather. The amount of water that the brush holds is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and try this brush.

DUDE
I friggin LOVE this brush. When it arrived, i thought it was too soft. And it is really soft. But the bristles are also fairly stiff for how long they are, and they really excel at pumping air into the lather, if you have a reasonably snappy wrist when you lather. But what makes it great is that it's size has been upgraded evenly across the board. The bristles are longer, but the knot is also bigger and more hefty and you can really get your fist behind it. If you're used to a standard brush, moving to this will feel like jumping from teeball to baseball.
