Q: Ho do you know what size to get?

I would start with the large size. They should perform fine on a smaller nose. However, a small strip on a large nose is not as effective as an appropriately sized strip. You should experiment with a package or two until you find the one that fits you best. Once you do that, you'll be addicted to them!

Q: How long are they? I think it's the length of the stiff part that matter most, so you could measure just that.

Hi,The ridged portion of the Breathe Right Strip extends nearly its entire length and is divided into two sections running in parallel to one another. This forms a small gap down the middle which I believe aids in flexibility and probably comfort.In addition, there are non-ridged flaps that extend from the sides of each end and provide additional surface area for the adhesive. They do extend a bit beyond the ridged portion, however, as you requested, I have not include them in the following measurement: 2 & 3/8's in, or, 60.325 mmI hope this helps albeit a little later than you probably wanted.-Thanks,

Large size is to accommodate slight larger noses. The strip is slightly longer (Just measured. It's about 2.5 inches).
