Nice to read but not a amazing...fanatic type...its ok. ...book is about instead direct investing in stock invest in well diversify national and international index fund and hold for long time.

It’s a great overview of how the author distilled the main and key conclusions about looking at investments in financial markets. The one statement at the cover of the book summarise it all” put your bucks in an index fund”

Most of the book is history lessons on the market, towards the middle it explains complex ideas for picking stocks, last 150 pages is what you need. I'm pretty sure Dave Ramseys book on the total money makeover is based on this book. It explains different ways to save for retirement and gives you a solid foundation to start. When you get done you will understand different ETFs,bonds,savings accounts, different types of IRA, interest rates, different types of retirement funds. Well worth a read.

As a beginner in investing this book covers a lot of fundamental investment concepts in an easy to understand way. The author covers different strategies for investing and their effectiveness, providing concrete real world examples to demonstrate his points. Overall quite happy with this read.

O primeiro contato que tive com este livro foi em 1992, como estudante na Universidade de Michigan, nos EUA. Até hoje guardo aquela edição com carinho. Comprei a última edição e a avaliação, que já era ótima, melhorou. É incrível que até hoje ele não tenha sido traduzido. É um texto espetacular, tanto para quem conhece quanto para neófitos de sistema financeiro. Quando lecionei, era leitura recomendada. Se vc lê em inglês e se interessa por mercado financeiro, pode comprar. É um livro excelente.
