DuoPower Contractor-Strength Anchors, XL-Pak (#10)

These wall anchors are a definite upgrade to the cheap plastic anchors that are supplied with almost everything you buy. Far superior to the cheap plastic anchors.

The Hillman anchors work very well, however it is not possible to easily locate and purchase anchors without the screws. More importantly I cannot locate the various anchor sizes (common residential use), in WHITE; also without screws. The WHITE anchor, as I previously used had the typical grey body, however the visible [narrow] ring facing out, level with the wall surface (after installing) would be WHITE plastic not grey. Better selection and availability would be helpful; including an assortment box (sectioned off) containing 25-50 of each size, totaling perhaps 200-300 units.

Maybe I didn’t do it right? I’m sure someone with more experience would be able to get this to work as intended but for me it just pulled out of the wall.

Drilled a hole using the specified 3/8 bit. Then put the supplied screw in and tightened it down by hand. The plastic stripped out without the back side popping in place. Had to drill it out. Tossed the rest of the useless fasteners in the trash and resorted to good old steel molly bolts. Those always work.
