Excellent protection and quality
I work every day on my 44-acre cattle ranch. I used to wear the Mechanix brand glove that sells at Lowes for $30.00. These are far superior. The fit is superb, the protection very good, and so far they are holding up to serious use and abuse while providing great tactile feel. I can pick up single nails or screws, tie my boots, or knot a rope without having to remove my gloves. They get rinsed out after work, left to dry, and the next morning they are a little bit stiff, but still very pliable and easy to put on. Unlike the previously mentioned Mechanix brand which turns to the general consistency of beef jerky after drying.Great for 90% of my farm chores, general work, and building projects. They are not heavy-duty enough for building barb-wire fences, but you basically need catcher's mitts for barb-wire.These gloves are a terrific product and value.

Very good - should last longer but still better than others
These have served me very well and endured much abuse, but I'm getting close to replacing them (they might hold up a little longer but it's dying gasps). They were awesome at first. I did expect them to be more durable, and to last at least six months. They lasted four months. For replacements I just bought two other CLC models (the tradesman pro and the demolition XC) so I can compare. The reason is because even though these didn't last as long as I hoped (not cheap), these were the best I've come across so far. I'm going to stick with CLC for a few more pairs before spending more time and money trying other brands. The larger reinforcement areas could stand to be thicker - the fingers are about as thick as can still be usable (though the tip reinforcement should extend just a little further down), but the knuckle and palm areas could be thicker without losing functionality. Some of CLC's other models supposedly do just that so I'll try them and review.Fit is fine, strap works well. They are somewhat breathable but I think the advertising exaggerates this quality. I don't care, no glove that's thick enough to completely protect my hand is going to be capable of breathing, and any glove that's there all day is going to be soaked and stinky by the end, so why stave off the inevitable? For moderate usage (weekend warriors or part time labor) you could do a lot worse than this glove. I'm going to try finding a more extremely durable model but if I can't, I'll come back to these.

Very nice glove... I really don't like anything else
I've been buying these gloves for quite a long time and keep buying more since they are great. Now the "Contractor" in the name might be pushing it a bit since I'm not a contractor and don't use these every day. After a few months of weekend work around the house, they do wear down. I find the finger tips break through first. But still, they are a great glove. Way better than those rather cheap ones at the big box store. I like the fact that they have several sizes to choose from, extra padding on the knuckles and the velcro tie around my wrist to keep them snug so they don't fall off but also so dirt doesn't sneak into the glove while working with materials (like dirt) that tend to do that. They aren't super warm (but I've never found any work glove warm) but they do protect my fingers very well. And because they fit nicely over my fingers without extra space, they feel about as close to my hand as possible (with a glove on). Because they feel good, I put them on for almost all work I do just to protect my hands.

Good Gloves
These are a pretty decent pair of gloves. I do a lot of construction/carpentry work, and I found that these gloves offered decent protection, but overall I was still getting a few splinters here and there with these gloves. If you're just doing basic DIY stuff at home, these will more than suffice, but if you actually make a living with your hands and need some proper protection, these gloves don't quite cut it as much as the Husqvarna Heavy Duty Leather gloves. They are literally the exact same price on Amazon, both pair of gloves go for $17.23 at the time of writing this review.I'd suggest grabbing the heavier duty Husqvarna's if you do any wood work and need some great protection for the hands. Otherwise, if you're just using these from time to time for various projects, I think these are a great pair of gloves for that purpose. You can get a pair here:https://www.amazon.com/Husqvarna-531030767-Heavy-Leather-Gloves/dp/B001CRLFCM

Top choice for work glove
This is my 3rd pair but not because the gloves aren't durable. These gloves are very durable and incredibly comfortable. They offer great dexterity that other brands don't. I put my work gloves through the wringer and normally go through several pair each season. These easily last me twice as long as my old brand and offer greater comfort at the same time. They're also pretty good in cold weather. It's a no brainer for me. As long as they're available, I'll keep getting them.

Good fit and grip, but not durable enough for demo work
Finishing the demo of an old log cabin. Bought two pair of these thinking they might last me through the rebuild phase, but I fear they will not. One day of demo work and the cloth backs of the gloves already have several tears, one of which allowed a good chunk of the back of my hand to go with it. Probably will work better for the less violent work of rebuilding. Grip and fit are good. For $20/pair, should be better overall. If I'm going to burn through glove this fast, I'll just keep getting them from the local discount/liquidation store.
